CES 2026: What to expect from the world's largest tech show?

From Acer and ASUS to TCL and beyond, here's what to expect from the world's largest tech expo.
By

December 9, 2025

CES 2026 is less than a month away! The annual Consumer Electronics Show is usually full of tech announcements and unveilings. The event also presents countless opportunities for hands-on time with tech products. We’ll be on the ground in Las Vegas to cover all the major announcements. Here’s what we expect to see at CES 2026.

CES 2026: What you need to know

  • What is CES? CES stands for Consumer Electronics Show. It’s the largest yearly tech convention in the world. Over 142,000 people attended the 2025 event.
  • When is CES 2026? CES 2026 will run from Tuesday, January 6, through Friday, January 9, 2026.
  • Where is CES 2026? CES 2026 will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, primarily at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Separate CES announcements, keynotes, and product unveilings are slated for various Las Vegas locations.
  • Is CES 2026 open to the public? CES’s physical show floor and events are not available to the public. This convention is exclusive to people affiliated with the consumer tech industry.

Acer

At CES 2025, Acer revealed new Swift, Aspire, Nitro, and Predator laptops. The firm also revealed Nitro Blaze handhelds, including a ridiculously sized 11-inch model seen above. It’s a sure-fire bet that the company will offer upgraded laptop models at CES 2026. We’re less certain of new Nitro Blaze handhelds, though.

AMD

AMD has been on a roll in the last few years thanks to its Ryzen chips. At CES 2025, the company revealed new Ryzen AI 200 and 300 chips for AI PCs. It also revealed Ryzen AI Max chips for more powerful computers. So what about CES 2026?

AMD has confirmed that it will hold a keynote address with Dr Lisa Su on the day before CES kicks off. The company says the event will highlight “the AMD vision for delivering future AI solutions — from cloud to enterprise, edge and devices.”

ASUS

ASUS is a fixture at CES, and the company used CES 2025 to announce new ROG gaming laptops, the Flow Z13 gaming tablet, and more. The company has announced that it will have a presence at the 2026 event.

“ASUS will showcase our latest solutions, including a full lineup of advanced AI PC products and other innovations — all designed to empower everyone, everywhere,” the company explained on its CES 2026 webpage.

Dell

Dell XPS 16 2

At CES 2025, Dell ditched its XPS, Inspiron, and other brand names in favor of Dell, Dell Pro, and Dell Pro Max brands. The company indeed announced new laptops in each new brand family. The Dell Pro Max series stood out thanks to its QHD+ resolution, up to Intel Core 9 Ultra processors, and NVIDIA graphics.

We’re expecting refreshed models in this regard, alongside other potential announcements from Alienware. History also suggests we could see new monitors, hubs, and other accessories.

Google

In recent years, Google has used CES to rebrand Nearby Share to Quick Share, announce Chromecast-related additions, and reveal Gemini on Google TV. For the 2026 event, we’re expecting more news regarding Gemini on various platforms.

Google also plans to push Android XR hard in 2026, and it just revealed more details regarding the platform and hardware. We’re therefore bracing for even more details about Android XR software and hardware at CES 2026.

Govee

Govee has quickly made a name for itself with its smart lighting products. At recent CES events, it announced pixel lighting for retro gamers, a table lamp with a built-in speaker, lighting that can react to in-game or in-movie events, Matter compatibility, and more.

Govee is listed as a CES 2026 exhibitor, but there’s no official word on what we should expect. In saying so, the Govee Floor Lamp 2 Pro has been certified, along with a Smart Outdoor Spotlight, Govee Floor Lamp 3, Outdoor Wall Light Pro, and Smart Bulb. So it looks like these products are indeed in the pipeline.

HP

HP is indeed listed as an exhibitor at CES 2026. Judging by the firm’s announcements at the last couple of CES shows, it stands to reason that we’ll see new EliteBook models, more monitors (potentially with Google TV once again), and a variety of other products.

Lenovo

Lenovo was one of the few tech companies offering genuinely cool products at CES in 2025. In addition to the usual Yoga laptops, the company also revealed the AdaptX Mouse, a self-charging Bluetooth keyboard, a laptop with a rollable screen, and the Legion Go S handhelds.

The tech giant has confirmed that it will be holding its Tech World event on January 6 at the Sphere in Las Vegas. The company didn’t hint at any specific products, but said it would show off plans for the “first-ever AI-powered FIFA World Cup.” That bubble can’t burst soon enough.

LG

LG has confirmed that it will hold a special event at the Mandalay Bay on the day before CES 2026 kicks off. An event calendar notes that attendees will “experience how LG AI can sense, think and act to elevate daily life across devices, people and spaces.”

For what it’s worth, LG’s CES 2025 highlights included another “true wireless” OLED TV as well as the OLED Evo G5 series of TVs. These TVs offer 4K displays with 165Hz VRR support, Copilot capabilities, and a variety of other AI features. So don’t be surprised if the company announces new TV sets and/or enhancements to existing devices.

NVIDIA

NVIDIA has confirmed that it will indeed have a presence at CES next month. The company will hold a showcase at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas from January 6 to 8, offering hands-on demos and more.

Could we see new graphics cards from NVIDIA at CES 2026? It certainly seems like a possibility, as the company announced the RTX50 series back in January. Will the company finally shed more light on its Windows on Arm chip developed in partnership with MediaTek? That’s a tougher question.

Samsung

Samsung Vision AI

Samsung has already announced that it will be holding a ‘First Look’ event a couple of days before CES 2026 on January 4. The company says it will “unveil its vision for the DX (Device eXperience) division in 2026, along with new AI-driven customer experiences.” Samsung’s display and appliance execs will also be on stage for the event.

All in all, this hints at new TV and appliance announcements at the very least. We also have to wonder whether the company will fully reveal the Exynos 2600 processor. This chip is expected to power the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus phones in some markets.

TCL

TCL made a big splash at CES 2025 with its TCL PlayCube portable Google TV projector. So we’re hoping to see similar products or a follow-up at the next CES. It also seems like a safe bet that we’ll see a few new NXTPAPER phones or tablets. In fact, we wouldn’t be surprised if the company announces the next iteration of its NXTPAPER tech too.
