Adding emojis to messages is pretty simple on a mobile device. Android phones and iPhones have dedicated emoji tabs on their respective on-screen keyboards. That said, it can be a bit more troublesome on a computer. After all, there is no emoji button on the keyboard — or is there? Let’s talk about the Win + . keyboard shortcut.
On the desktop app

- In the Outlook desktop app, select New Email to start a new email.
- Click where you would like to add emojis to your email.
- Press Win + . on your keyboard. The Win (or Windows) button may look like the Windows logo and is located near the spacebar.
- Select the emoji you wish to add to your email.
On the Outlook website
Go to outlook.live.com in your web browser and start a new email. Click the Insert emojis button at the bottom.

Under Expressions, select whichever emoji you would like to insert into your email.

Alternatively, you can use the Win + . keyboard shortcut. This will also open a list of emojis you can add to your email.
