How to cancel your PlayStation Plus subscription
Sony’s PlayStation Plus subscription service has a lot to offer with three different tiers, but perhaps you aren’t using it enough to justify the monthly cost. Here’s everything you need to know about canceling your PlayStation Plus subscription.
To cancel your subscription, sign in to Account Management with your PSN ID. Select Subscription from the menu on the left of the screen and click Cancel Subscription next to PlayStation Plus.
What happens when you cancel your PlayStation Plus subscription?
Most of the benefits you enjoy from PlayStation Plus are lost once you cancel your subscription. However, you will have access to all your subscription benefits, such as monthly games, online storage, and online multiplayer, until the end of any previously purchased subscription payment period. Once that date arrives, the benefits will end, and you will lose access to all those perks.
As for the library of games you get to download and play with PlayStation Plus, any content you previously downloaded for free as part of the subscription will no longer be available. You’ll have to pay for those games if you want to continue playing them. However, redeemed PlayStation Plus packs, avatars, and anything purchased with the PlayStation Plus members are yours to keep.
How to cancel your PlayStation Plus subscription on the PS5
From the homepage, navigate to Settings > Users and Accounts > Payment and Subscriptions.
From there, select Subscriptions > PlayStation Plus.
Lastly, select Cancel Subscription.

From the homepage, go to PlayStation Plus > Manage Membership > Subscription.
Select Turn off Auto-Renew. This will prevent your subscription from charging your account to continue past the next date you have already paid for.

First, sign in to Account Management with your PlayStation Network ID. Select Subscription from the menu on the left of the screen.
Lastly, select Cancel Subscription next to PlayStation Plus.
If you would like to keep your subscription, you can select Reactivate Subscription in this same section before the next payment date of the current subscription to keep it active.
