Hands-On With the Lenovo IdeaTab K2010 [K2] Tablet – Tegra 3, IPS HD Display & More [VIDEO]
We’re reporting live here from Las Vegas, at CES 2012! Lots of exciting things are coming up, and here’s our take on Lenovo’s latest tablet – with Tegra 3 and an HD display on board.
I just had a hands on with Lenovo’s IdeaTap K2 Android Tablet, and I do have to say it is one fine piece of hardware. The IdeaTab is sporting a Tegra 3 processor, a full HD 1920 x1200 IPS display, dual speakers, and a 8 Megapixel camera. On the outside it is sporting a faux brushed metal back cover, HDMI out, Micro USB, full USB, data SIM card slot (possible 4g?) and an SD card slot.
The IdeaTab was sporting ICS, which was something I was pleased to see, but it is in early stages of development and was rough around the edges, and that is to be expected.
While I am not exactly sure when we will see this tablet state-side, I do believe it will be a success. Lenovo is aiming at the mobile business professional with this tablet, so expect to see a fingerprint scanner and other business oriented features. I am pleased to see so much functionality and features packed into one tablet. Until now, a full sized USB port on a tablet has been hard to find. Lenovo surely is “upping the anti” with the IdeaTab K2, making me think some people will be thinking twice about purchasing the Transformer Prime.
From speaking with the kind folks at Lenovo, they are planning on making 2012 a HUGE year for them in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. With their experience producing quality hardware, I am confident that we can expect some great Android tablets and phones from them very soon!
With this all being said, remember that CES is just getting started, so stay tuned at Android Authority as we bring you dedicated coverage of all the hottest Android gadgets for 2012!
