Google is joining the MWC 2026 fun with a coincidental March Pixel Drop for supported Pixel devices. This substantial update introduces a suite of features, ranging from AI-powered task automation to a full desktop experience for older flagships, many of which we previously spotted in the weeks leading up to the official release. Whether you are using the latest Pixel 10 series or an older Pixel, this drop brings new ways to interact with your smartphone and your favorite apps.
Here are all the features coming to Pixel devices:
- Find the look with Circle to Search: Circle to Search on Pixel 10 series (including Pixel 10a) can now find each individual piece of clothing in an image. Users can circle a full outfit and get a complete breakdown with just one search.

- Try it On with Circle to Search: Circle to Search on Pixel 10 series (including Pixel 10a) can be used on videos, social content, or images received in messages with the new “Try it On” feature to see how clothing would look on the user.

- Now Playing app: Available on the Pixel 6 and newer, Pixel’s beloved Now Playing feature has graduated into a standalone app that can be downloaded and updated from the Google Play Store.
- Restaurant recommendations with Magic Cue: Available on the Pixel 10 series (excluding Pixel 10a), Magic Cue with Gemini can now help you find the perfect restaurant without ever leaving your conversation. When friends ask for recommendations in a group chat, Pixel smartphones can proactively suggest a search based on their criteria.
- At a Glance upgrades:
- My commute: The Pixel’s At a Glance widget now provides real-time updates on departures, delays, and alternative routes for your transit commute on the home and lock screens. Available on the Pixel 7 and newer phones.
- Sport scores: At a Glance now displays real-time game score updates for all followed teams during live matches. Available on the Pixel 6 and newer phones, excluding the Pixel Tablet. Only works with scores shown in Google.
- Finance: At a Glance will now display end-of-day updates from the top movers in your Google Finance watchlist. Available on the Pixel 6 and newer phones, excluding the Pixel Tablet. Only works with scores shown in Google.
- Custom AI-generated icons: Pixel 6 and newer phones and foldables (excluding the Pixel Tablet) can now personalize their home screen with custom AI-generated icons to give your Pixel a fresh new look. There are six icon styles to redesign all home screen icons with a consistent look.

- Offload tasks to Gemini: Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro XL users can offload their boring, repetitive tasks like ordering groceries or booking a ride to Gemini. The feature works with apps in the background, but the user remains in control.
- Comfort view: Available on the Pixel 10 series (excluding the Pixel 10a), users now get improved viewing comfort for sensitive eyes with a refined display color filtering mode, which reduces visual stimulation from very bright or saturated colors.
- SpongeBob SquarePants theme packs: Pixel 6 and newer phones now get a set of new SpongeBob SquarePants seasonal theme packs.
- Desktop experience on Pixel and Monitor: Available on Pixel 8 phones and newer with USB-C DisplayPort out capabilities, users can now connect their Pixel to an external monitor via USB-C to provide a desktop-like, multi-window Android desktop experience when used with a keyboard and mouse.
- Desktop Windowing on tablet: Available on the Pixel tablet, it provides a familiar interface for arranging and resizing overlapping windows.
