If someone sends you spam calls or texts on an iPhone, it is easy to block them. There’s no scenario where you would have to put up with behavior like that. But what if the person repents, and you decide to be merciful and let them back into your life? Here’s how to unblock a number on the iPhone.

To unblock a number on the iPhone, go to Settings > Phone > Blocked Contacts. You will see a list of all the numbers you have blocked while logged under that Apple ID. Tap the blue Edit link at the top-right of the screen and then tap the red circle next to the number you wish to unblock. When the number disappears from the screen, tap Done to save your changes.

It only takes a few taps to unblock someone and allow them to contact you again.

  • First, go to the settings, then Phone. Scroll down to Blocked Contacts and tap it.

  • Tap Edit in the top-right corner of the screen.
  • Red circles will now appear next to every blocked phone number. Find the number you wish to unblock and tap the red circle to the left of it. This will remove the number from the list.
  • Tap Done at the top-right of the screen. This saves your changes and the number is now unblocked.
