TL;DR
  • Samsung is bringing the Galaxy Z TriFold to the US.
  • You will be able to buy it starting later this week through Samsung’s online and select offline stores in the US.
  • The TriFold’s 512GB variant is priced at $2,899.

The recently unveiled Galaxy Z TriFold is an impressive piece of technology. While the design and the heft may feel less practical than a standard book-style foldable, such as the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the limitations are easily offset by its utility. The TriFold is essentially a large Android tablet that fits in your pocket, and it may be the perfect device if you fancy using three apps side-by-side. And if you’re in the US and have been waiting to lay your hands on the Galaxy Z TriFold, we have good news.

As promised, Samsung is officially bringing the Galaxy Z TriFold to the US, and eager customers will be able to buy it starting Friday, January 30. The pricing for the Galaxy Z TriFold with 512GB storage is set at $2,899, and it will be available through Samsung’s online and offline retail stores. The Korean market also gets a 1TB variant, so we hope to hear a bit more about its availability in the US.

We went hands-on with the Galaxy Z TriFold earlier this month at CES 2026 and noticed the differences that set it apart from the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The first, and the most obvious, is the more expansive display which unfolds into a large 10-inch surface. The other is its 5,400 mAh battery, which will likely provide the extra display real estate.

The other big difference, of course, is the additional hinge, which Samsung says is rated for 200,000 bends. While that claim is set to face the test of time, a group of YouTubers has already given it a run, relentlessly folding and unfolding the TriFold — enough to show signs of wear.

Meanwhile, Samsung has already been showcasing it at select Samsung Experience stores across California, Texas, New York, and other states, where you can try the Galaxy Z TriFold before committing those three grands. We recommend doing that so you can ensure the extra bulk (TriFold weighs about 1.5 times the Fold 7) isn’t something you have to worry about.

Samsung had previously also announced benefits such as free access to Gemini AI Pro for six months, along with a one-time 50% discount on display repairs, which could allay some concerns about hefty repair costs.
