Samsung's hulking Galaxy View 2 tablet launches April 26, won't be cheap
AT&T today announced when to expect the hulking Samsung Galaxy View 2 and how much you’ll have to drop to get one. We first caught wind of the tablet only a few days ago.
The good news is that the tablet launches tomorrow, April 26 on AT&T. The Galaxy View 2 still isn’t live on AT&T’s website, but we’ll update this article with a link once it goes live.
The bad news is that the Galaxy View 2 won’t be cheap — $37 each month for 20 months through AT&T Next. That adds up to $740, which makes the Galaxy View 2 more expensive than the $600 original Galaxy View.
The full list of specs released today show that you’re getting quite a bit of tablet for the money. The Galaxy View 2 sports a 17.3-inch Full HD display, with a 5-megapixel camera up top. The tablet doesn’t feature a rear camera, but who would want to take pictures with this thing?
Elsewhere, the Galaxy View 2 features Samsung’s in-house Exynos 7884 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, and a ridiculously-large 12,000mAh battery. Sadly, the tablet runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box instead of the newer Android 9 Pie.
If you want an idea of what to expect from the Galaxy View 2, the original Galaxy View is still available for $570 at Amazon. Otherwise, let us know in the comments below if you plan to pick up the massive tablet.
