Original article, June 11, 2019 (09:09 AM ET): Samsung today announced that Verizon Wireless will sell its Galaxy A50 mid-range handset for $350. The A50 has been on sale in other markets since earlier this year and will reach Verizon stores starting June 13. Samsung also announced two entry-level models, the A20 and A10e, which will go on sale via various carriers and retailers in the coming weeks.

The A50 has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2,340 x 1,080) resolution in the 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 9610 octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz. The A50 is available in the U.S. with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. International variants of the phone include 6GB of RAM and 128B of storage. The phone supports microSD memory cards up to 512GB.

Samsung opted for a three-camera array on the rear, meaning the A50 joins a growing number of phones with multiple sensors. The main sensor captures 25MP images at f/1.7 and it is assisted by a 5MP depth sensor at f/2.2. The A50 also has an ultra-wide 8MP camera at f/2.4 with a 123-degree field of view. The selfie camera rates 25MP at f/2.0. Camera features include bokeh for portrait-like effects, as well as Scene Optimizer, which can recognize up to 20 different scenes and adjust accordingly.

Rounding out the specs, the A50 has a 4,000mAh battery with 15W rapid charging. It runs Android 9 Pie with Samsung’s One UI.
