How to change language in Microsoft Word
Being able to use an app or program in your native language is essential. It’s even more important when you know you’ll be writing a lot, as editing functions need to be readable. Luckily, Microsoft Word allows you to change languages quickly. This is how to change languages in Microsoft Word.

To change the language in Microsoft Word, go to File > Options > Langauge. For either Office display language or Office authoring languages and proofing, select Add a Langauge…. Install the language pack, then allow Word to restart.

How to change the display language in Microsoft Word
In your Word document, click File.

From the menu along the left, go to Options.

Click the Language tab along the left.

Next to Office display language, click Add a Language….

In the Install a display language box, locate the language you want to switch to. Click Install.

Allow Word to restart. It will now appear in your selected language.

How to change the proofing language in Microsoft Word
In your Word document, click File.

From the menu along the left, go to Options.

Click the Language tab along the left.

Next to Office authoring languages and proofing, click Add a Language….

In the Add an authoring language box, locate the language you want to switch to. Click Add.

Allow Word to restart. Apply the new language for proofing.
