TL;DR
  • Samsung has reportedly delayed the launch of the Galaxy S21 FE.
  • The company might host its next Unpacked event late in the first week or the second week of August.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is perhaps the most highly anticipated phone right now. However, multiple reports now suggest that we may have to wait a bit longer to see the phone in the flesh.

According to Yonhap News, Samsung has delayed the launch of the Galaxy S21 FE to September or October. The phone was previously expected to launch in August as per a leaked product roadmap.

The report further claims that Samsung decided to push the launch of the Galaxy S21 FE to the fall in order to focus its marketing efforts on its foldable phones.

Based on a credible tipster’s leak, we recently reported that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 could launch on August 3. However, Yonhap claims that the date is incorrect and we should instead expect Samsung to host its Unpacked event for the foldable phones, the Galaxy Watch 4, and Galaxy Buds 2 later in the first week or the second week of August.

Meanwhile, another report recently claimed that Samsung has halted the production of the Galaxy S21 FE owing to the global chip shortage. Samsung later denied the report saying that nothing has been decided regarding the alleged production suspension.

Whatever may be the reason, it looks like we’ll have to hold out for a while before we get to unpack the Galaxy S21 FE. Until then, Samsung’s new foldables will try their best to fill the gap of the Note series this year. Let’s see how Samsung’s revamped product pipeline works out in the long run.
