TL;DR
  • Samsung could launch the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Z Flip 3, and the Galaxy Watch 4 series on August 3.
  • The Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch Active 4 could go on sale on August 11.

Samsung has reportedly halted the production of the Galaxy S21 FE, but that doesn’t mean its other upcoming devices are not on schedule. Reliable leaker Max Weinbach has revealed the possible launch date for Samsung’s new smartwatches and foldable phones.

According to Weinbach’s not co cryptic tweet, the Galaxy Watch 4, Watch Active 4, Galaxy Z Flip 3, and Galaxy Z Fold 3 could launch on August 3. Weinbach doesn’t explicitly state that this is the date for the next Samsung Unpacked conference. However, with the number of devices rumored to launch, we could very well see Samsung host the marquee event on the day.

The launch date also lines up with last year’s August 5 Galaxy Unpacked event, where Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 20. Since the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3 are expected to fill the gap of the Note series this year, it’s only befitting that Samsung announced them around the same time as one would expect a new Galaxy Note.

In addition to Weinbach’s leak, tipster Jon Prosser also claims that Samsung will start shipping the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch Active 4 on August 11. That’s a week after the purported August 3 launch date. The foldable phones, on the other hand, could begin shipping on August 27, according to Prosser.

Meanwhile, a previous report by Korean media outlet The Elec suggested that Samsung could launch the two foldable phones in July.

We’re not sure which leak is accurate, but Weinbach has a good track record so we’d much rather believe what he has to say. Still, Samsung hasn’t officially announced or hinted at anything. If the launch of the new Galaxy devices is indeed set for August 3, the company should announce something more concrete next month.
