TL;DR
  • Motorola announced its first book-style foldable phone, the Razr Fold, at CES 2026.
  • It features an 8.1-inch inner display, a large cover screen, triple rear cameras, and Moto Pen support.
  • Set to launch in summer 2026 in the US, pricing and specs like the chipset are yet to be revealed.

It’s been nearly six years since Motorola resurrected the Razr, and it’s fast become one of our favorite series of flip phones, especially with last year’s Razr Ultra. At CES 2026, Motorola revealed that the Razr family will be expanding with the Razr Fold, a book-style foldable to take on competitors like the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

The Razr Fold will feature a 6.6-inch cover screen, which unfolds to reveal an 8.1-inch inner display. Continuing Motorola’s love of unconventional materials and collaborations with Pantone, the Razr Fold will come in two finishes: A woven vegan leather material in Pantone Blackened Blue and a silky vegan leather in Pantone Lily White.

The triple camera system sounds promising, with a 50MP LYTIA 828 1X, 50MP 3x periscope telephoto, and 50MP ultrawide camera. Samsung fans upset by the Fold 7’s removal of S Pen support will be pleased to know that the Razr Fold will support Motorola’s new Moto Pen, which is a big bonus for those of us who want to write and draw on our foldables.

The rest of the Razr Fold’s specs, including pricing, chipset, and Qi2 support, aren’t available right now. What we do know is that Motorola will release the phone in the summer of 2026, and it will be coming to the US. It’ll be exciting to have another competitor in the foldable space, especially one that’s had such success with the flip-style Razrs. Are you excited for the Razr Fold?
