Deal: Save up to $250 on Verizon Pixel 2/2 XL, Galaxy S8/S8 Plus, or Note 8 at Best Buy
Update (1/16/18): It looks like the Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL are getting in on the action too. If you head over to Best Buy you can save a ton of money on either of Google’s new smartphones.
You can save $200 on the Pixel 2, which will be applied over 24 months. That drops the total purchase price down to $450, or $18.74/mo for the 64 GB version. The 128 GB version will run you $550, or $22.91/mo. You can grab the 64 GB version in Clearly White, Just Black, or Kinda Blue, and the 128 GB version in Just Black.
The Pixel 2 XL has an even better discount. Right now, you can save $250 off the purchase price over 24 months. The 64 GB model drops to $600 or $24.99/mo and the 128 GB model drops to $700 or $29.61/mo. You can grab the 64 GB Pixel 2 XL in Black & White or Just Black, but the 128 GB version is only available in Just Black.
You must buy the devices on an installment plan, and the discount will be applied each month.
Original article (1/15/18): Samsung is prepping to unveil the Galaxy S9 during next month’s Mobile World Congress, and while that means the company’s latest and greatest is right around the corner, it also means there are solid deals to be had for its current crop of flagships.
One deal, in particular, involves slashing $250 from the Verizon variants of the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus, and Galaxy Note 8 through Best Buy.
Keep in mind that the deal requires a credit check, a wireless service plan, and monthly device payments. Also, the deal is not one flat discount— the savings are reflected in the reduced monthly payments. In other words, you end up paying $506 for the Galaxy S8, $590 for the Galaxy S8 Plus, and $686 for the Galaxy Note 8.
That is not the only deal Best Buy offers, as the retailer also gives you a $150 prepaid MasterCard gift card if you switch from T-Mobile to Verizon. You will need to buy a new phone and open a new line to get the gift card, though you can use this deal in conjunction with the previously mentioned one.
They might not be as shiny and new as they were, but the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus, and Galaxy Note 8 more than hold up well against the competition. All three phones feature sizable Super AMOLED displays with a near-bezel-less design, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset, at least 4 GB of RAM, and, would you look at that, headphone jacks. I guess they were not brave enough.
The Galaxy Note 8, in particular, features dual 12 MP main cameras that allow for portrait shots, though all three phones sport their fingerprint sensors right next to the cameras. At least Samsung knows that is a problem— the Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8 Plus move the fingerprint sensors to below the rear camera.
We are not sure how long the deals will last, though you can check them out at the link below and at physical Best Buy locations.
