Those looking to get the right amount of power from their smartphones will want to make sure their device has plenty of RAM. 4GB may be enough for many, but having a little more is always nice. You might also want to look at phones with 8, 10, or even 12GB of RAM, but those can be an overkill. We feel 6GB is the sweet spot for the average user, which is why we’ve compiled a list of the best phones with 6GB RAM that you can currently buy.

The best phones with 6GB of RAM:

Editor’s note: We’ll be updating this list of the best phones with 6GB of RAM regularly as new devices launch.

1. Google Pixel 4/4XL

Google Pixel 4 with 6GB of RAM

The previous Pixel generation‘s 4GB of RAM wasn’t received too well, so Google has upped the numbers with the Pixel 4 family. Both the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL sport 6GB of RAM and plenty of other great features and specs.

The standout is the camera. This year, it offers a wide and a telephoto lens and performs even better in low light than the Pixel 3. The Pixel 4 phones also sport 90Hz screens, 3D facial recognition, wireless charging, a great processor in the Snapdragon 855, and a modern, minimalist design. The only major downside is the Pixel 4’s 2,800mAh battery, but overall they are still among the best phones with 6GB of RAM you can get.

Google Pixel 4 specs:

The Google Pixel 4a came with plenty of surprises. It’s likely the best phone you can buy at the $350 price point, offering good performance, a simple design, the stock Android experience, and one of the best cameras you can find. And while it’s an affordable handset, it’s also one of the best phones with 6GB of RAM.

The 12.2MP camera is the same Sony IMX363 sensor you find in the Pixel 4 and Pixel 3a series. What really takes this otherwise mundane camera specs to the next level is Google’s software enhancements, though. Their level of computational photography is on another level. The Pixel 4a adopts features from the Pixel 4 series, such as Astrophotography Mode, Night Sight, and the dual exposure sliders.

Google Pixel 4a specs:

  • Display: 5.81-inch, Full HD+
  • SoC: Snapdragon 730G
  • RAM: 6GB
  • Storage: 128GB
  • Camera: 12.2MP
  • Front camera: 8MP
  • Battery: 3,140mAh
  • Software: Android 10

The OnePlus Nord joins the list of phones with 6GB of RAM in style and without breaking the bank. This is the most affordable OnePlus device, but it’s no slouch. The Nord comes with a 6.44-inch Full HD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and is powered by the 5G-capable Snapdragon 765G processor.

It also manages to squeeze in more cameras than any other OnePlus smartphone so far, with four on the back and a dual setup up front. The Nord may not come with a flagship processor like every other recent OnePlus release, but it’s still an extremely capable phone, especially when you consider its comparatively cheaper price tag.

However, keep in mind that the 6GB version is exclusive to India. In other markets, the base variant of the phone comes with 8GB of RAM.

OnePlus Nord specs:

  • Display: 6.44-inch, Full HD+
  • SoC: Snapdragon 765G
  • RAM: 6/8/12GB
  • Storage: 128/256GB
  • Cameras: 48, 8, 5, and 2MP
  • Front camera: 32 and 8MP
  • Battery: 4,115mAh
  • Software: Android 10

The incredible value for the Moto Edge makes it hard to pass up, particularly if the price tags of some of today’s devices make you ill. Though I wish the cameras were slightly better, everything else about the Motorola Edge shines in a way that should appeal to the majority of consumers. Not to mention specs aren’t everything when it comes to achieving a pleasant smartphone experience.

Of course, there is a version with 6GB of RAM, but you can also upgrade to 8GB of RAM if you wish. You can also check out the Mi 9T Pro, which also has a 6GB RAM version and almost identical specs, but with some key difference like the return of the headphone jack.
