If you’re a power user, opting for a phone with 6GB RAM is something you might want to consider. Although even 4GB should get the job done just as well in most cases, having a little extra on board will give you peace of mind if you plan on keeping the device for a longer period of time.

If you don’t know which phones with 6GB RAM are worthy of your hard earned dollars, keep reading. To make your life just a bit easier, we’ve compiled a list of the best you can currently buy.

Editor’s note: We will be updating this list of best 6GB RAM smartphones regularly as new devices launch.

Phones with 6GB RAM — what are your options?

1. Huawei Mate 20 Pro

Best phones with 6GB RAM - Mate 20 Pro

The Mate 20 Pro is the best Huawei phone you can currently get, offering high-end specs packed in a gorgeous body. It comes with 6GB of RAM under the hood, although an 8GB version is also available in a few markets.

The Mate 20 Pro is the class leader with its massive 4,200mAh battery.

Huawei’s flagship sports a triple-camera setup on the back, has an in-display fingerprint scanner, and is powered by a massive 4,200mAh battery. There’s also 3D facial recognition on board and reverse wireless charging, although it’s painfully slow.

Other specs and features include a 6.39-inch curved display with a notch, wireless charging, and IP68 water and dust resistance. There’s no headphone jack on board, which is still a deal breaker for some users.

Specs

  • 6.39-inch AMOLED display with 3,120 x 1,440 resolution, 538ppi
  • Kirin 980 chipset
  • 6/8GB of RAM

2. Nokia 9 PureView

Nokia 9 PureView

What makes the Nokia 9 PureView one of the best phones with 6GB RAM is its unique camera setup at the back, a great design, and a clean software experience. Then there’s the price, which is relatively affordable.

Editor's Pick

The phone sports five cameras at the back developed in partnership with Zeiss and Light. Two of the sensors capture full-color photos, while the other three are monochrome sensors that aid with depth, contrast, and exposure. The Nokia 9 is part of the Android One family, which means it’s bloat-free and will get at least two years of OS and three years of security updates.

It’s powered by the Snapdragon 845 chipset, which is a strange decision given the rest of 2019 flagships we’ve seen so far pack the newer SD 855 under the hood. The phone will go on sale in the U.S. on March 3 at Best Buy, Amazon, and B&H Photo. It will retail for $600 during the promotional period that ends on March 10, after which it will set you back an extra $100.

Specs

  • 5.99-inch P-OLED display with 2,880 x 1,440 resolution, 538ppi
  • Snapdragon 845 chipset
  • 6GB of RAM
  • 128GB of storage, non-expandable
  • Five 12MP cameras, 20MP front camera
  • Non-removable 3,320mAh battery
  • Android 9.0 Pie
  • 155 x 75 x 8mm, 172g

3. Samsung Galaxy Note 9

phones with 6GB RAM

The Galaxy Note 9 is currently one of the best phones with 6GB RAM you can get your hands on. It features the Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9810 chipset, a large curved display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio, and the popular S Pen that has a new trick up its sleeve. It supports Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), so you can launch the camera and take a selfie via the button on the stylus — among other things.

The Galaxy Note 9 also comes with 8GB of RAM.

The new Note is also dust and water-resistant thanks to its IP68 rating, sports a dual-camera setup with dual aperture, and has an iris scanner on board. It also has a glass back and features thin bezels around the screen.

The 6GB variant of the Note 9 comes with 128GB of storage and will set you back $1,000. However, there’s also a beefed-up version of the device available with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, which retails for $1,250.

Honor View 20 on a table

The View 20 is the first Honor phone to sport a hole-punch display, which allows for a high screen-to-body ratio. It comes with 6GB of RAM (an 8GB variant is also available), the latest Kirin 980 chipset, and a 4,000mAh battery.

Honor’s flagship stands out due to its interesting design with a striking “V” pattern etched into the back glass. It features a rear dual-camera setup, a headphone jack, and dual-SIM support. However, it doesn’t have an IP rating or support wireless charging.

The handset is priced affordably — check out the exact price via the button below — which is one of the reasons that make it one of the best 6GB RAM smartphones out there. It’s available in Europe and loads of other markets, but you can’t get it in the U.S.
