Those looking to get the right amount of power from their smartphones will want to make sure their device has plenty of RAM. 4GB may be enough for many, but a little more is always nice. You might also want to look at phones with 8, 10, or even 12GB of RAM, but those can be overkill. We feel 6GB is the sweet spot for the average user, which is why we’ve compiled a list of the best phones with 6GB RAM that you can currently buy.

The best phones with 6GB of RAM:

Editor’s note: We’ll be updating this list of the best phones with 6GB of RAM regularly as new devices launch.

1. Google Pixel 4/4XL

The OnePlus Nord joins the list of phones with 6GB of RAM in style and without breaking the bank. This is the most affordable OnePlus device, but it’s no slouch. The Nord comes with a 6.44-inch Full HD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and is powered by the 5G-capable Snapdragon 765G processor.

It also manages to squeeze in more cameras than any other OnePlus smartphone so far, with four on the back and a dual setup up front. The Nord may not come with a flagship processor like every other recent OnePlus release, but it’s still an extremely capable phone, especially when you consider its comparatively cheaper price tag.

Here: These are the best Sony Xperia phones

The Sony Xperia 1 sports a larger display at 6.5 inches that offers 4K resolution. Due to its bigger footprint, it also has a slightly larger battery (3,330mAh vs. 3,140mAh). Most of its other specs and features, including the chipset and RAM, are exactly the same as those of the Xperia 5. Both phones are available in the US and are quite expensive, with the Xperia 1 costing more than its smaller brother.

Where the iPhone 12 comes in aluminum, the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max step up to stainless steel. Moreover, gone are the fun colors in exchange for silver, gold, Graphite, and Pacific Blue. The screens measure 6.1 inches (2,532 x 1,170) and 6.7 inches (2,778 x 1,284) across the diagonal for the Pro and Pro Max, respectively.

The iPhone 12 Pro is for the serious mobile photographer, with its triple camera and its LiDAR scanner. Finally, the iPhone Pro Max is for the person that does not consider money to be a limitation, and also wants to have a really big screen and top-notch camera capabilities.

9. OnePlus Nord N10

OnePlus Nord N10 against tracks

OnePlus went all out with device launches in 2020, and the Nord N10 is one of the most affordable ways to put 6GB of RAM in your pocket. While it won’t blow many other phones away in terms of specs, the Nord N10 does pack a few impressive features.

For starters, the 6.49-inch 90Hz display punches above the friendly price tag. It’s made of Gorilla Glass 3 and comes with a Full HD+ resolution. The Nord N10 also comes with a fingerprint reader and even a headphone jack, even if it does miss out on OnePlus’ signature alert slider. We were fairly impressed with the Nord N10’s camera, though it’s not enough to place the phone above Google’s Pixel 4a.

Unfortunately, OnePlus has only promised one system update for the Nord N10. Most people stick with their phones for longer than a year, so it’s tough to recommend a phone that’s not exactly future-proof. OnePlus tapped the Snapdragon 690 to power the N10, which is a nice chip, but it can’t keep up with the main players.

OnePlus Nord N10 specs:

  • Display: 6.49-inch, Full HD+
  • SoC: Snapdragon 690
  • RAM: 6GB
  • Storage: 128GB
  • Camera: 64, 8, 2, and 2MP
  • Front camera: 16MP
  • Battery: 4,3000mAh
  • Software: Android 10

10. Motorola One 5G Ace

One final phone with 6GB of RAM you may want to consider is Motorola’s One 5G Ace. As the name suggests, the phone is 5G ready, but there’s much more to this affordable device.

We might recommend the Pixel 4a 5G above the One 5G Ace overall, but this is the way to go if you want to maximize your battery life. The huge 5,000mAh cell is enough to keep Motorola’s 6.7-inch display powered on for multiple days at a time, and it can charge up to 15W. You’ll have to grab the United States version if you want 6GB of RAM, and it will also give you 128GB of storage space.

We’re not overly impressed with Motorola’s camera setup on the One 5G Ace, despite the 48MP main shooter. It’s flanked by an 8MP lens and a 2MP option, though they don’t make up much ground. You’ll only find Android 10 on board as well, even though Android 11 is becoming the standard for new smartphones.

Motorola One 5G Ace specs:

  • Display: 6.7-inch, Full HD+
  • SoC: Snapdragon 750G
  • RAM: 6GB
  • Storage: 128GB
  • Camera: 48, 8, and 2MP
  • Front camera: 16MP
  • Battery: 5,0000mAh
  • Software: Android 10
