Those looking to get the right amount of power from their smartphones will want to ensure their device has plenty of RAM. 4GB may be enough for many less demanding users, but a little more is always nice. You might also want to look at phones with as much as 16GB of RAM, but those can be overkill. We feel that 8 to 12GB is the sweet spot for most people, although a phone with 6GB of RAM should still be good enough for most average users. With that in mind, we’ve compiled a list of the best phones with 6GB RAM you can get.

The best phones with 6GB of RAM:

Editor’s note: We’ll regularly update this list of the best phones with 6GB of RAM as new devices launch.

Google Pixel 6a

Ryan Haines / Android Authority

The Pixel 6a is one of the best mid-range phones you can get. It’s also one of the best camera phones in its price range.

It has excellent battery life, an IP67 rating, good performance, and a very neat display. Like all Google phones, it also comes with an outstanding camera system. And in case you haven’t figured it out, it also comes with 6GB of RAM.

All specs aside, the Google Pixel 6a is likely the best phone for most casual users. Not to mention its price is amicable on the wallet. Although the competition is heating up, especially with Samsung recently releasing the A53, which is listed below.

Google Pixel 6a specs:

  • Display: 6.34-inch, Full HD+
  • SoC: Google Tensor
  • RAM: 6GB
  • Storage: 128GB
  • Cameras: 12.2 and 12MP
  • Front camera: 8MP
  • Battery: 4,410mAh
  • Software: Android 12

Samsung Galaxy A53

Ryan Haines / Android Authority

The Samsung Galaxy A52 5G successor has arrived, carrying the predictable Galaxy A53 moniker. It’s one of the best mid-range phones with 6GB of RAM currently available, although it offers much more than just that.

The 6GB of RAM is paired with the Exynos 1280 chipset, which means the phone has more than enough power for the average user. On top of that, the A53 sports a large and crisp 120Hz display and a great camera system. We also appreciate the flagship-level update commitment, as the A53 will get four years of Android updates.

Best of all, the handset is cheaper than its predecessor, coming in at $450 — the A52 went for $500. This puts it in direct competition with the likes of the Google Pixel 6a.

Samsung A53 specs

  • Display: 6.5-inch, Full HD+
  • SoC: Exynos 1280
  • RAM: 4/6/8GB
  • Storage: 128/256GB
  • Cameras: 64, 12, 5, and 5MP
  • Front camera: 32MP
  • Battery: 5,000mAh
  • Software: Android 12

Redmi Note 12 Pro

Redmi Note 12 Pro

It’s hard to beat the Redmi Note 12 Pro when it comes to budget devices since it offers a lot of value for money. Although it’s not officially available in the US, you can get it imported or from an unofficial store for less than $300.

You get a solid build quality, an excellent OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, long battery life, and surprisingly good performance for such an affordable handset. Specs include a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor, 6GB of RAM for the base version, as much as 256GB of storage, and a 5,000 mAh battery.

The cameras are average at best, but you can’t expect too much for such a budget device, and this is still one of the best affordable phones with 6GB of RAM you can get.

Redmi Note 12 Pro specs

  • Display: 6.67-inch, Full HD+
  • SoC: MediaTek Dimensity 1080
  • RAM: 6/8/12GB
  • Storage: 128/256GB
  • Cameras: 50, 8, and 2MP
  • Front camera: 16MP
  • Battery: 5,000mAh
  • Software: Android 12

OnePlus Nord 2

Dhruv Bhutani / Android Authority

The OnePlus Nord was a trendy phone in the budget market, and now it has a direct successor. The OnePlus Nord 2 comes with some significant upgrades over its predecessor. For starters, it has a MediaTek Dimensity 1200, which is comparable to a Snapdragon 870.

Other features include Wi-Fi 6, a 90Hz AMOLED display, a triple-camera system, and plenty of storage. It’s also a pretty affordable phone, which is excellent, considering the processor gets it closer to high-end performance.

We also love its design, display, and fast 65W charging. We wish the phone had an IP rating and better-quality cameras, but you can’t complain much when the price is so reasonable. Not to mention it’s also one of the best phones with 6GB of RAM. The only trick here is that only the India version will come with 6GB of RAM. Others will have to upgrade to either 8GB or 12GB.

OnePlus Nord 2 specs:

  • Display: 6.43-inch, Full HD+
  • SoC: MediaTek Dimensity 1200
  • RAM: 6/8/12GB
  • Storage: 128/256GB
  • Cameras: 50, 8, and 2MP
  • Front camera: 32MP
  • Battery: 4,500mAh
  • Software: Android 11

Xiaomi POCO M4 Pro

Hadlee Simons / Android Authority

The POCO M4 Pro is an impressive option for phones with 6GB of RAM. It offers excellent battery life with fast charging, and the design sits far above its price tag. You also get IP53 splash resistance, so you won’t have to worry too much about your next adventure. POCO packed its M4 Pro with a 5G-ready MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset, and the 6GB of RAM version also packs 128GB of storage.

Hadlee found that the 50MP primary camera lens delivers solid results during his review, though you’ll have to stick to the best lighting conditions. The front 16MP lens falls short in portrait mode, too. On the bright side, we’ll never complain about 33W wired charging or a 5,000mAh battery.

Xiaomi POCO M4 Pro specs:

  • Display: 6.6-inch, Full HD+
  • SoC: MediaTek 810
  • RAM: 4/6GB
  • Storage: 64/128GB
  • Cameras: 50 and 8MP
  • Front camera: 16MP
  • Battery: 5,000mAh
  • Software: Android 11

Nokia X100

nokia x100 camera bump - Phones with 6GB of RAM
Ryan Haines / Android Authority

Nokia’s X100 isn’t a world-beater for phones with 6GB of RAM. In fact, it’s one of the most affordable options on the list. However, it packs specs to match many of Nokia’s other offerings, starting with a Snapdragon 480 processor. It comes 5G ready, and the 4,470mAh battery should pack enough punch to power you beyond a day of usage. Nokia added 128GB of storage to the mix, common for devices with 6GB of RAM.

Our review did knock it for a weak update commitment, but the Nokia X100 makes for a good first phone. It packs a quad-camera setup, capped off by a 48MP primary shooter. Overall, it captures solid shots, especially for the asking price.

One factor to consider is that the Nokia X100 was launched as a T-Mobile exclusive in the USA.

Nokia X100 specs:

  • Display: 6.67-inch, Full HD+
  • SoC: Snapdragon 480
  • RAM: 6GB
  • Storage: 128GB
  • Cameras: 48, 5, 2, and 2MP
  • Front camera: 16MP
  • Battery: 4,470mAh
  • Software: Android 11

Sony Xperia 10 IV

Sony Xperia 10 IV - Phones with 6GB of RAM

The Sony Xperia 1 IV and Xperia 5 IV are the company’s top dogs, but they’re expensive and have more than 6GB of RAM. If you want one of Sony’s phones with 6GB of RAM, turn to the Xperia 10 IV. It has more modest specs but a similar design and a much lower price point.

Here: These are the best Sony Xperia phones

While you may have to settle with a Snapdragon 695 processor, the phone doesn’t sacrifice much else. It has a 6-inch OLED display, 128GB of storage, 5G support, a 5,000mAh battery, and fast 21W charging. Other essential features include IP65/68 water resistance, a 3.5mm port (a rare feature these days), and a fingerprint reader.

Sony Xperia 10 IV specs:

  • Display: 6.0-inch, Full HD+
  • SoC: Snapdragon 695
  • RAM: 6GB
  • Storage: 128GB
  • Cameras: 12, 8, and 8MP
  • Front camera: 8MP
  • Battery: 5,000mAh
  • Software: Android 12

We may be an Android-focused website, but we can’t ignore Apple. Apple’s latest handsets are also among the best phones with 6GB of RAM. This includes the whole iPhone 14 lineup, which consists of the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

All devices are great, but this time around, there are more differences between the standard and Pro versions. For starters, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus come with the older A15 Bionic chipset. Only the Pro versions get upgraded to the A16 Bionic. Another main difference is in storage options. The base versions top off at 512GB, while the Pro devices can go up to 1TB.

There are also the cameras, which vary by model. The iPhone 14 and 14 Plus come with a couple of 12MP cameras, while the Pro and Pro Max add a third 48MP sensor.

Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G (2022)

Eric Zeman / Android Authority

The Moto G Stylus 5G is super affordable, so don’t expect it to be a performer, but it is one of the best phones with 6GB of RAM if you’re looking for a budget option. Performance may be limited, but you get 5G support, a huge 6.8-inch screen, stylus support, and pretty good hardware.

We also love its battery life, which is likely the best thing it has going for itself. The battery is pretty large at 5,000mAh, and since the specs are basic, they also don’t need that much energy. This equates to an estimated battery of two days. And that’s what Motorola claims; in our tests, we managed to get through a couple of days and returned home with some charge left.

Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G (2022) specs:

  • Display: 6.8-inch, Full HD+
  • Chipset: Snapdragon 695
  • RAM: 6/8GB
  • Storage: 128/256GB
  • Cameras: 50, 8, and 2MP
  • Front camera: 16MP
  • Battery: 5,000mAh
  • Software: Android 12

While picking the right RAM for your needs can help, chances are most users won’t notice much of a difference. You might be set if you simply choose one of the best budget phones around. Alternatively, you can also look through our list of the best overall Android phones, if you want more than 6GB of RAM.
