Google’s ongoing dispute with China has paved the way for Motorola to venture out on its own and continue to offer its Android handsets with a decidedly non-Google bent. Last Thursday, Motorola launched its own app store, SHOP4APPS, which was spied about a month ago in its pre-launch form and will provide Chinese Android users with a non-Google means of acquiring apps. Motorola also announced that it is partnering with Baidu, the dominant search provider in China, and others to load its Chinese Android phones with search, email and maps from these China-based service providers.
