It’s time for the Sunday giveaway! Like every week, we’re giving away a brand new Android device to one lucky Android Authority reader.

A big congratulations to the winner of last week’s Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus giveaway, Andriy V. from Poland.

This week we’re giving away a brand new Samsung Galaxy Watch 3, brought to you by the DGiT Daily newsletter!

The DGiT Daily newsletter is a daily briefing focused on bringing you the best tech news and links to what’s happening all around the web. It doesn’t matter if it’s from The Wall Street Journal or the depths of a 41-tweet Twitter thread — we’ll find it, and tell you what it means.

The daily email arrives fresh at around 7 a.m. ET every day, and we’re committed to making sure it entertains with a brief, honest, authoritative, and never-too-serious look at the tech news of the day via our Senior Editor, Tristan Rayner.

The DGiT Daily also comes with a daily surprise segment you’ll have to read each day — you’ll get an idea by looking at our recent editions from this week: The joy of Flight Simulator from Friday and Google Maps makes Iceland look more magical from Wednesday.

samsung galaxy watch 3 review on wrist spotify music app

We’re switching up the giveaway a bit this week to give you the chance to win one of the best Android wearables money can buy. Samsung still has some work to do with fitness tracking accuracy on the Galaxy Watch 3, but not many other smartwatches are as well-rounded. The hardware and software are better than ever, and if you’re going to buy a premium smartwatch for your Android phone, this is the one you should buy.

The original Galaxy Watch had a chunky design, but the Watch 3 is much more stylish. The rotating bezel is extremely pleasing to use and thinner than it’s predecessor, complementing the fantastic — if a bit power-hungry — screen beautifully. The Galaxy Watch 3 is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 9110 SoC, which has powered every Galaxy Watch device. There’s 1GB of RAM here, up from 768MB from the Active 2.

The software on the Watch 3 largely met our expectations and can handle all the standard smartwatch stuff we’ve come to expect. You can receive smartphone notifications and reply to them from your wrist. You can even view your chat history on your watch for certain messaging apps. There’s offline local music support, as well as offline Spotify support — a surprisingly rare feature on wearables. There’s 8GB of internal memory for holding your music and apps.
