A promotional render of the Samsung Galaxy Fold.

The retail launch of the very expensive Samsung Galaxy Fold is less than two weeks away. If you live in the United States and have your eyes on the device, you’ll want to register with Samsung soon to be one of the first to purchase the high-profile foldable phone.

Starting tomorrow, April 12, Samsung will start sending out “exclusive invitations” to people who have pre-registered. Presumably, those invitations will have links to pre-order the Galaxy Fold.

If you haven’t pre-registered yet and want that pre-order invite, you should head here to register.

Samsung Galaxy Fold

The Samsung Galaxy Fold will retail for $1,980 and pre-orders will also include a carbon fiber case and a set of the new Samsung Galaxy Buds, the company’s latest entry in the true wireless headphones space. The Fold also includes a so-called “concierge service” which further emphasizes the high-end nature of the device.

So far, we know for certain that T-Mobile will carry the device in the United States, both online and in select stores. We are relatively certain Verizon and AT&T will also sell the phone, though neither company has announced any formal plans. It is unknown if Sprint will also carry the Galaxy Fold.
