- Samsung has started rolling out the stable One UI 9 update for the Galaxy A55 in Korea.
- The update comes with build numbers A556SKSUBEZJ1, A556SSKCBEZJ1, and A556SKSUBEZI8.
- Samsung could expand the rollout to more regions in the coming weeks.
Samsung is gradually rolling out the stable One UI 9 update to its older phones. After releasing it for devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and mid-rangers like the Galaxy A36, Samsung is now bringing the stable One UI 9 build to yet another one of its top-selling smartphones.
According to a post on X by tipster Tarun Vats, the company has started rolling out the stable One UI 9 update for the Galaxy A55 in South Korea. While the exact download size is currently unknown, the update arrives with build numbers A556SKSUBEZJ1, A556SSKCBEZJ1, or A556SKSUBEZI8.

With One UI 9, Samsung introduces several new features and UI tweaks to its smartphones. The update adds new customization options to the Quick Settings panel, a network speed indicator in the status bar, and a “Warranty and care” section in Settings. The update also brings improvements to first-party apps such as Samsung Notes and adds a location privacy indicator to show when apps access your location in the background.
On flagship phones, One UI 9 also introduces new Galaxy AI improvements. However, because the Galaxy A55 did not support the full suite of Galaxy AI tools at launch, it is unlikely to receive all the new AI features included with One UI 9 either.
The rollout is currently limited to Samsung’s home country of South Korea. However, now that the stable update has landed on Galaxy A55 devices there, a global rollout could soon follow. We will continue tracking the One UI 9 rollout and update you as we learn more.
