Samsung goes global with Fold 5 and Flip 5 stable One UI 9 rollout

The Galaxy A36 5G isn’t the only Samsung phone getting some One UI 9 love this week. The stable version of the Android 17 skin is also here for two of Samsung’s older foldable phones. It’s finally the Galaxy Z Fold 5’s and Galaxy Z Flip 5’s turn to upgrade.

The rollout of stable One UI 9 for the Fold 5 and Flip 5 really began last week, but that was only for the Korean market. However, that rollout has now gone global, as the update is now available in the EU. It shouldn’t take much longer for it to also hit users in the US and other regions.

The update includes firmware versions F946BXXU7HZIJ and F731BXXU7HZIJ for the Fold 5 and Flip 5, respectively. Through this update, users will get access to new features, interface refinements, and other improvements.

The Fold 5 and Flip 5 are the last of Samsung’s foldables that are eligible for One UI 9. This also happens to be the final major update for these devices. You’ll be able to check if the update is waiting for you by opening Settings and tapping on Software update.
