- Samsung has started rolling out the stable One UI 9 update for the Galaxy A36 5G in Europe.
- The update comes with the build number A366BXXUCDZIF and weighs in at 2.4GB.
- Samsung could start rolling out the update to more regions in the coming weeks.
The Galaxy A36 5G might not be the best mid-range smartphone, but it’s still one of the most popular Samsung phones. That could be because of Samsung’s promise of six years of OS updates, and it seems the company is staying on track with that pledge (unlike some other Android brands).
According to user reports on Reddit, Samsung has started rolling out the stable One UI 9 update for the Galaxy A36 5G outside of South Korea. The update, reportedly rolling out in Europe now, has the build number A366BXXUCDZIF and weighs around 2.4GB (via SammyGuru). It also includes the September 2026 security patch.

One UI 9 brings several performance improvements and customization features to Samsung phones. On the Galaxy A36 5G, it adds customization options for the Quick Settings panel, including resizing and rearranging controls. It also introduces useful interface tweaks, such as a network speed indicator in the status bar, a “Warranty and care” section in the Settings app, and more.
Based on user reports, the rollout is currently limited to European countries such as Greece, Turkey, and a few others. However, now that the update is rolling out globally, it could soon reach devices in other regions. Hopefully, Galaxy A36 5G units in the US will start receiving the update soon as well.
You can check for updates on your Samsung phone by going to Settings > Software update. If the update isn’t available for you yet, you will just have to wait, as it could take a few days for Samsung to expand the rollout.
