It's the end of the software update line for OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7T
- OnePlus has revealed that the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T phones have received their final updates.
- The phones were released in 2019 and were more recently updated to Android 12.
OnePlus recently announced that it’ll match Samsung for software updates, although this pledge only applies to select 2023 flagships. Now, the company has confirmed that it’s the end of the line for two of its 2019 flagship lines.
OnePlus quietly confirmed on its community forum (h/t: Oxygen Updater) that the Oxygen OS 12 MP3 update is the last build for the OnePlus 7 series and OnePlus 7T range. The update bears the H.32 suffix for the OnePlus 7 series and F.18 suffix for the OnePlus 7T family.
This final update serves up the December 2022 security patch, improves cellular connection stability, and improves system stability and performance.
This update also comes a few months after both flagship lines finally received the stable Oxygen OS 12 update. That update delivered Android 12, a “smart battery engine,” Hyperboost performance tool, and more.
Either way, it’s the end of the line for two of the company’s most popular and critically acclaimed phone families. So you might want to switch to a more recent device if you still want an actively supported OnePlus phone.
