Last week's poll summary: Out of almost 4,500 total votes, 54.4% of our readers prefer tall and skinny (18:9) aspect ratio displays, while 33.2% prefer short and squat (16:9) aspect ratio screens. 12.5% of voters have no preference.

OnePlus 5T, Samsung Galaxy S8, or LG G6— that’s not a comparison I thought I’d be making by the end of the year, yet here we are.

The Galaxy S8 launched for around $750 on most carriers, but recently we’ve seen it go as low as $470. The LG G6 launched for almost $700, and since then we’ve seen it go for $470 on Amazon, $288 on Verizon, and $399 if you have an Amazon Prime membership. Now, the OnePlus 5T will go on sale Tuesday, November 21 for $499, putting OnePlus’ latest flagship in the same camp as the the S8 and G6… at least in terms of pricing.

Don’t miss: OnePlus 5T vs LG G6 | OnePlus 5T vs Samsung Galaxy S8

All three devices have their pros and cons, of course. The Galaxy S8 and G6 are both water resistant, while the 5T is not. The S8 and 5T both come with the latest Snapdragon 835 processor, and LG’s G6 has the older Snapdragon 821. On the software front, OnePlus’ OxygenOS provides a clean and quick vanilla Android experience, which many of our readers prefer.

So if you had $500 to spend on a new phone, which would you choose? I think I’d go for the Galaxy S8 or OnePlus 5T, only because LG’s software still isn’t my cup of tea. Cast your vote in the poll below, and speak up in the comments if you have any other thoughts.
