The Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3 XL are finally here! The search giant unveiled the third-generation Pixel phones at an event in New York on October 9, 2018, alongside a few other exciting new products that join the growing Made by Google family.
If you watched the livestream you’ll already know all the price and availability details for the U.S., but what about those of us in the U.K.? Here’s all the U.K. pricing and release info for everything Google announced at the Pixel 3 event.
Google Pixel 3 UK release date
You can pre-order the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL from today with general sales both online and in store starting on November 1. The official Google Store currently shows a lead time of 3-4 weeks, but fingers crossed those orders will arrive on the November 1 release date.
Google Pixel 3 UK price and availability
The regular Pixel 3 starts at 739 pounds for the 64GB variant and goes up to 839 pounds for the 128GB model. The larger Pixel 3 XL, meanwhile, will set you back 869 pounds for the base 64GB model, or a whopping 969 pounds for the 128GB model.
Both represent a fairly hefty price increase over the Pixel 2 series, which started at 629 pounds for the Pixel 2 and 799 pounds for the Pixel 2 XL. But hey, at least we’re not getting 1:1 conversions from dollars we do from so many other OEMs.
You’ll be able to buy either phone direct from the Google Store or via a number of third-party retailers. So far, Google has confirmed that EE, Vodafone, O2, Three, Carphone Warehouse, Sky Mobile, John Lewis, and Mobile Phones Direct will all stock the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. Network carriers will also be offering both phones on contract deals, although it’s unlikely we’ll see any special offers on either phone until the initial sales flurry dies down.
The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL come in Just Black and Clearly White, as well as a brand new colorway dubbed Not Pink which looks pretty pink to me. You’ll also get Pixel USB-C earbuds free with each unit, as well as six months of YouTube Music Premium and free unlimited high-res photo storage on Google Photos until 2022.
Pixel 3 cases and Pixel Stand UK price and availability
While you’ll get a standard charger with every Pixel 3, you can go wireless with the newly announced Pixel Stand. The Pixel Stand goes on sale alongside the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL on November 1 (pre-orders open now) for 69 pounds. The Stand comes in Clearly White and will sell via the Google Store and retailers including Carphone Warehouse, O2, Vodafone, Three, EE, John Lewis, and Sky Mobile.
Those same retailers will also be stocking Google’s official range of Pixel 3 Cases and the customizable My Cases from November 1, starting from 35 pounds and 40 pounds respectively.
Google Home Hub UK price, release date, and availability
Easily one of the most exciting products revealed in New York, the latest addition to the Google Home family, the Home Hub, is available to pre-order right now from the Google Store and Currys PC World for the modest price of 139 pounds. It comes in Chalk, Charcoal, Aqua, or Sand colorways.
The Google Assistant-powered smart display will then hit store shelves on October 22 at Currys PC World, Maplin, John Lewis, and Argos.
Pixel Slate UK price, release date, and availability
Google’s answer to the iPad Pro, the Pixel Slate, will retail via the Google Store and major retailers “later this year,” starting from 549 pounds. While there’s no set release date, you can add your name to a wishlist at the Google Store by hitting the button below. We’ve also embedded a screenshot of the various configurations that will be available when the Pixel Slate releases in the coming months.
For the full Pixel Slate experience, you can grab the Pixel Slate Keyboard for 189 pounds (ouch, my wallet) and the Slate-compatible Pixelbook Pen for 99 pounds. The latter is also now available in Midnight Blue to match the Pixel Slate and Slate Keyboard.
Chromecast (3rd gen) UK price, release date, and availability
The redesigned Chromecast is out today (October 10) priced at 30 pounds. The new Chromecast is on sale in Charcoal at the Google Store, Currys PC World, John Lewis, Argos, Tesco, and many more retailers, although you’ll have to go direct to Google for the exclusive Chalk color.
