Every Pixel 11 phone supports the wireless charging speed fans have been waiting for
Aug 12, 2026 — 10:00 AM ET
- All Pixel 11 phones support the Qi 2.2 standard, offering 25-watt magnetic wireless charging.
- Of last year’s Pixel 10 series, only the 10 Pro XL supported 25-watt wireless charging.
- Existing Pixelsnap chargers can deliver 25W when paired with a 35W USB-C power brick.
After months of leaks, Google finally took the wraps off the entire Pixel 11 series today at an event in New York. The new phones come with a number of thoughtful, practical upgrades, from new camera sensors to faster charging speeds. This year, all Pixel 11 models support Qi 2.2 charging, a feature that was exclusive to the 10 Pro XL last year.
Qi 2.2 charging enables faster wireless charging rates of up to 25W, provided you’re using a compatible wireless charger connected to a compatible power source. That’s a big get for the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold: their 2025 equivalents all topped out at 15W.

Existing Pixelsnap chargers support wireless charging speeds of up to 25W, so if you’ve already got one of those around, you won’t need to spring for a new wireless charger to get the most out of the new Pixel 11 series. You will need a USB-C power adapter rated at at least 35W to get that max charging rate, however.
At 25 watts, Google’s new Pixel lineup matches Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro models, which similarly support magnetic wireless charging at up to 25 watts. And the base Pixel 11 is in a better spot than the standard iPhone 17, which tops out at 15W when charging wirelessly.
The whole series offers a better wireless charging experience than Samsung’s Galaxy S26 phones. None of the S26 models feature built-in magnets for wireless charging, and only the S27 Ultra can pull 25W wirelessly — the S26 and S26 Plus top out at 15W and 20W, respectively.
Pre-orders for the Pixel 11 series start today, with general availability beginning August 20. The Pixel 11 starts at $899 for a model with 256 GB of storage. The premium Pixel 11 Pro and 11 Pro XL start at $1,099 and $1,299; the ultra-premium 11 Pro Fold starts at $1,899.
