‘Hey Google, get me tickets for Solo: A Star Wars Story’

You can now buy tickets to the movies using voice commands through Google Assistant. You can try it out right now to buy tickets to Solo: A Star Wars Story, which went on sale today. It is May the Fourth, after all!

To buy tickets, simply say “Hey Google, buy tickets,” or “Hey Google, get me tickets for Solo: A Star Wars Story.” Once you do, Google Assistant on your smartphone will bring up available showtimes in your area for the movie.

If you don’t know what you want to see, you can simply say “showtimes near me.” Once it brings up the list of films, you can ask questions about them, like “who stars in it” or “show me the trailer.”

This new ticket-buying feature is a partnership through Fandango, so that means you are likely restricted to theatres that are in the Fandango network.
