Stephen Schenck
Stephen is a journalist whose 16 years of experience have immersed him deep into the world of technology. He has a degree in writing from Johns Hopkins, and after cutting his teeth on general consumer tech, he found his niche working with smartphones on the news desk for Pocketnow. That led to a career reporting on the latest mobile technological advancements, traveling the world to cover industry events like CES, MWC, IFA, and Google I/O, and reviewing some of the hottest new gadgets around. In addition to writing news, editorials, reviews, and guides for eager tech fans, Stephen loves shooting and producing video and participating in podcasts. At Android Authority, Stephen heads up the US news team to make sure you don’t miss any breaking stories from Silicon Valley and beyond. Stephen wrote about smartphones for a couple years before actually getting his first, an OG Motorola Droid. He still carries a bit of a torch for the physical keyboard, and misses the BlackBerry Key2 like you wouldn’t believe. He likes small, thin phones and sets his font size as small as Android will let him. His favorite toy is his electric motorcycle, which technically counts as a smartphone accessory thanks to its wireless Qi charger.
