If you have a OnePlus 7 or OnePlus 7 Pro without Android 10, you're not alone.

It was almost two weeks ago when OnePlus dropped the Android 10 update for the OnePlus 7 series, including the OnePlus 7 Pro. However, according to users on Reddit as well as the official OnePlus forums, many people still don’t have the update.

OnePlus did say the Android 10 upgrade would be a slow rollout, but that usually means over the span of a few days. At this point, it’s been 12 days since OnePlus announced the launch, which suggests there’s been some sort of delay. It’s possible OnePlus halted the rollout entirely.

We reached out to OnePlus to get some clarity on the situation but didn’t hear back before press time.

When the Android 10 OnePlus 7 series update landed, it was one of the fastest rollouts in the industry of a stable build of the latest version of Android. That achievement might seem less noteworthy though if the rollout was halted for some sort of problem.

For what it’s worth, there are complaints online about how the Android 10 update is littered with bugs, although there are contrasting reports that the software runs smoothly.

OnePlus has a product launch scheduled for October 10 in London, where we expect to see the OnePlus 7T Pro land. We also know that the OnePlus 7T will hit store shelves on October 18 (or a week early if you can make it to New York City). We know for certain the 7T will land with Android 10 out-of-the-box, and it stands to reason that the 7T Pro would as well.

With all that in mind, it’s possible OnePlus has halted the rollout of the Android 10 update to get everything polished so early adopters of those two devices won’t be dismayed to find the software not up-to-par with other Oxygen OS releases.

We will update this article if and when we hear back from OnePlus. In the meantime, let us know if you have the Android 10 update on your OnePlus 7 series device. Also, if you want to skip the wait and get the update now, you can follow our instructions here on how to do that.
