OnePlus 7T Pro Leaked Renders including McLaren Edition 3

The latest OnePlus 7T series leaks bring some disappointing news to U.S. customers. According to well-known leaker Max J. (@Samsung_News_), the OnePlus 7T Pro will not be launching in North America.

Max claims that this is only the case for the standard OnePlus 7T Pro. The Verizon exclusive OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren edition will still make it to the US, alongside the OnePlus 7T.

The McLaren edition 7T Pro is the only Verizon compatible OnePlus device besides the OnePlus 6T. Releasing a Verizon exclusive device could be a good business strategy for OnePlus to continue growing their CDMA customer base but is sure to leave some OnePlus fans disappointed.

Earlier this year, OnePlus released the 7 Pro in the US instead of the standard 7. We aren’t sure why OnePlus decided to flip the model releases, but this makes a lot of sense. It appears that the 7T Pro won’t be a huge upgrade over the standard 7 Pro and so there’s little reason to introduce it here, with OnePlus likely focusing the 7T Pro release on regions that didn’t see the 7 Pro. This also gives the current U.S. budget option, the OnePlus 6T, a much-needed replacement.

The 7T series of devices are set for a global launch October 10 in London, while India will have an earlier launch event September 26. Hopefully, we will see the OnePlus TV make an appearance at the India event as well.
