Installing the Android version from the Play Store

You can run the Android version of Among Us if your Chromebook supports Android apps. Most Chromebooks released in and after 2017 come with Android app support.
Open the Settings app and click on Apps in the left navigation pane to check whether your Chromebook supports them. If you see an option in the right pane that says Google Play Store, your Chromebook supports the Google Play Store and Android apps.

If you don’t see the option, updating your Chromebook may help since some Chromebooks got Android app support via updates.
Open the Settings app and click About Chrome OS in the left navigation pane to update your Chromebook. Click the Check for Updates button under Google Chrome OS in the right pane. Follow the instructions to finish updating. You can follow the earlier steps to check if the Apps tab shows the Google Play Store option.

Enable Google Play Store on your Chromebook, and download Among Us

You should be able to find the Play Store in your Chromebook search since it’s generally enabled by default on supported devices. If you cannot find it, you will have to enable it.
Open the Settings app on your Chromebook, and click Apps in the left navigation pane. In the right pane, click the Turn on button next to Google Play Store.

In the Terms of Service dialog box, click More.

Tick the checkboxes as per your preferences. Click Accept.

The installation will progress, and the Google Play Store will launch after a couple of minutes. If it doesn’t launch, open Google Play Store by looking for it in search.

Click the search tab towards the top, and type Among Us (or click this link). Click Install.

Among Us will download and install. The button next to the listing will change to Play once the installation is completed.

Click Play to launch Among Us. You can also launch it via Chromebook search.

Using Steam for Linux
You can run Steam on Chromebooks unofficially, using the Linux version. It’s due to arrive on Chromebooks officially, but the Linux version may throw some performance issues your way for now. We recommend that you try this method only if the Android app doesn’t work on your Chromebook, which is very unlikely.
Enabling Linux apps on your Chromebook
Open the Settings app on your Chromebook, and click Advanced in the left navigation pane. Click Developers under Advanced. In the right pane, find the Linux development environment tab. Click the Turn on button.

The installation dialog box will appear. Select the disk size according to your preference. Click Next.

It will take some time, but the installation will finish, and a terminal window will open. Update your Linux environment to the latest version by typing in the command below. Hit Enter once you type it in.
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade -y

How to install Steam Linux app on Chromebooks
