Acer unveils 1,000Hz gaming monitor, but you probably don't want to run it at that refresh rate
January 5, 2026

- Acer’s lineup for CES 2026 includes a monitor that can run at up to 1,000Hz.
- It comes alongside a curved QD-OLED with a 360Hz refresh rate.
- Besides these, Acer has also announced a budget 5K monitor for gamers and a premium 6K screen for creators.
Acer is kicking off 2026 with a host of new launches at CES 2026. While its updated portfolio of gaming laptops and consumer laptops takes the center stage, the brand is also showcasing new products, including a range of desktop monitors for gamers and professional creators. That comprises new products in the Predator, Nitro, and ProDesigner series.
The new lineup includes the Predator XB273U F6 and X34 F3 gaming monitors. Both of these deliver palpable smoothness for high-speed gameplay. Of the two, the XB273U F6 supports a 500Hz refresh rate at QHD resolution and can clock 1,000Hz when downscaled to 1280 x 720 pixels. It’s backed by a 27-inch QHD IPS panel with a 2,000:1 contrast ratio and a claimed brightness of 350 nits. The panel is also calibrated to cover 95% of the DCI-P3 color space for saturated tones while gaming.
Meanwhile, the X34 F3 features a curved 34-inch QD-OLED panel, delivering deeper blacks and an astonishing 1,000,000,000:1 adaptive contrast ratio. The panel also supports a 360Hz refresh rate for highly responsive gaming, along with AMD’s FreeSync Premium Pro for smoother content display without stutters or screen tearing. The monitor also packs dual 5-watt drivers for audio, even without dedicated desktop speakers.

Alongside the Predator series gaming monitors, Acer has announced the Nitro XV270X P with a dazzling 5K IPS panel in a 27-inch layout. The 165Hz refresh rate in 5K resolution begets better responses from gamers. But for those who want to be quicker, the Nitro XV270X P allows doubling the refresh rate to 330Hz by reducing the resolution to 1440p.

The monitor also delivers 400 nits of brightness and supports 95% of the DCI-P3 gamut for rich colors.
For creators and professionals who require more accurate color reproduction and a wider dynamic range for creating or editing media, Acer has also announced the ProDesigner PE320Q. The monitor features a striking 6K (6016 × 3384) resolution and support for 98% of the DCI-P3 gamut.

The display boasts a brightness peak value of 600 nits with HDR and 400 nits in non-HDR mode. Acer also claims the panel is reflection-free so that you can expect minimal glare during creative pursuits.
While the panel’s refresh rate is limited to 60Hz, it supports input and power delivery via USB4 (Type-C) ports, in addition to HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4. The display also integrates dual 5W speakers along with a proximity sensor that switches the display off automatically when no one is detected nearby.
