Android is Dan's last thought before she closes her eyes at night and her first thought upon waking up in the morning. And, between waking up and sleeping, Android is still in her thoughts. That's how hooked she has become to Android ever since she started covering Android news and writing Android app reviews.

Eufloria HD: Tree planting and colonization in space

by: Dan EvansJanuary 8, 2013

When I think about games that are centered around commanding and conquering, I usually imagine brutal war-torn landscapes, lots of blood, and all sorts of violence, but Omni Systems Limited’s Eufloria HD has managed to make colonization a work of art. I first mentioned this game in our 9 most irresistible games for the second half of December, but let’s take a closer look at it in this app review.

The Mother Tree, a bodiless voice, tells you that you must go out into space and add asteroids to your colony. Unfortunately, as the Mother Tree is helping you get the hang of this colonizing thing, you discover that something is very wrong.

Your [...]

Sony Xperia T/TL vs Sony Xperia TX

by: Dan EvansDecember 24, 2012

One thing is for certain: Sony isn’t going to let trends in the Android world dictate how it designs its phones. Both the Xperia T LT30p (Xperia TL LT30at) and the Xperia TX LT29i are gorgeously designed, standing out from the competition — thanks to their curved backs, 13 MP shooters, and gorgeous displays.

Both of these phones, however, also stand out for another reason. While a lot of competitors are producing quad-core beasts, these two Sony devices are equipped with dual-core processors. Does this mean that these phones have been left behind? The Xperia T is best known as the Bond phone, complete with a cameo appearance in Bond’s latest movie [...]

Google Nexus 4 vs Sony Xperia T/TL

by: Dan EvansDecember 24, 2012

The Sony Xperia T LT30p (Xperia TL LT30at on AT&T in the U.S.) is a gorgeous device bearing Sony’s unique design, but Sony isn’t the only smartphone manufacturer out there that knows how to design a phone. The LG Optimus G was LG’s latest offering to the market, and it certainly did not disappoint either. Not only was it a powerful phone, it was quite attractive, as well, especially with its glittering backpanel.

With Google and LG’s collaboration to produce the Nexus 4 E960, you can now find a similarly beautiful glittering backpanel on the latest phone in the Nexus series. The Nexus 4 is a truly attractive phone, enough to match the Xperia [...]

Samsung Galaxy S3 vs Sony Xperia T/TL

by: Dan EvansDecember 24, 2012

It isn’t uncommon for Android devices to have reputations. The Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 is considered by many to be the King of Android phones, and with good reason. According to Samsung, it sold 30 million Galaxy S3 units during the first 150 days after the phone was released in May.

The Sony Xperia T LT30p (Xperia TL LT30at on AT&T in the U.S.), on the other hand, did not quite gain a reputation. Rather, Sony has attached James Bond’s name to the device. That’s right — Agent 007, man of charisma, charm, and exquisitely tailored suits, has his name attached to the Xperia T and even uses it for a few seconds in the latest Bond movie, [...]

Sony Xperia T review

by: Dan EvansDecember 7, 2012
Whether you love or hate the James Bond franchise, you can't deny that the movies inject a lot of pretty gadgets. One of them is the Sony Xperia T LT30p, marketed in the U.S. as the LTE-capable variant known as the Xperia TL LT30at. In this post, we take a closer look at the new dual-core Android phone from Sony, the Sony Xperia T LT30p, also known as the Xperia TL LT30at.

Angry Heroes Online: High fantasy with a twist

by: Dan EvansNovember 30, 2012

There’s nothing funnier than a game that pokes fun at its own genre. While high-fantasy settings can be breathtaking and interesting, sometimes it takes itself too seriously. You’re a noble knight on a quest to restore your lost honor and you need to battle others and travel the land. How often has this been done before? It’s easy to eye high-fantasy in any form skeptically.

Artibus’ Angry Heroes (Free), however, is here to renew your love for the genre. This game is a delightful MMORPG that makes fun of the high fantasy setting and gives it a new twist.

The basic story is that you, a warrior, was mugged of all your belongings [...]

Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite review

by: Dan EvansNovember 23, 2012
At a first glance, the MediaPad 7 Like looks strong and durable, with its aluminum unibody design and hard plastic bits. But do the MediaPad 7 Lite's insides match up to its rock-solid build?

Sony Xperia TX review

by: Dan EvansNovember 23, 2012

There’s no denying it: Sony really knows how to design its phones. It has avoided a lot of the design trends that are really popular and continued doing its own thing. Even an entry-level phone such as its Sony Xperia J ST26i looks gorgeous.

The Sony Xperia TX LT29i is equally gorgeous, with its curved back, thin strip of silver, and mirror-like front. A sense of class, sophistication, and elegance emanates from this phone. Its insides, however, aren’t quite as impressive.

Unfortunately, Sony hasn’t quite caught up with companies like Samsung, LG, or HTC when it comes to specs. While those competitors have already released quad-core handsets, [...]

SnapPea: Using your phone even without your touching it

by: Dan EvansNovember 20, 2012

Anyone can tell you that smartphones are great. But, smartphones have their limits; some of the most common ones include distance and syncing data with your computer. You’ll need to be very dedicated with the USB cable or cloud services to keep your phone updated with the media on your computer. Even when you have your phone plugged into your computer, having to lean over, pick up the phone, and reply to a friend’s text message can disrupt your concentration.

Developers at Wandou Labs understand your pain; that’s why they’ve created an app that will eliminate the need to tear your attention away from your screen. With SnapPea, you can have [...]

Prince of Balls HD Free: Quest to save the spherical princess

by: Dan EvansNovember 19, 2012

Once upon a time, a rather circular prince and his beautiful princess were enjoying a pleasant picnic of an assortment of fruits. Unfortunately, tragedy struck, and true to the classic damsel-in-distress archetype, the rotund princess was kidnapped by an equally spherical demon creature. It is up to our heroic orb-like prince to tackle the vast landscape and save his princess! We’ve heard that story before but Prince of Balls HD presents this classic tale in a slightly different way.

We’ll give you a moment to stop sniggering.

Of course, you won’t see any six-packs on our prince and the princess doesn’t exactly have the curves [...]
