Redmi launches Note 10 Pro in China: The superior Note 10 Pro?

Xiaomi's Redmi Note 10 lineup just got a little more powerful and a lot more confusing.

TL;DR
  • Xiaomi has announced the Redmi Note 10 Pro in China.
  • It’s powered by the Dimensity 1100 SoC and features a 64MP primary camera.
  • The company also announced the Redmi Note 10 5G — the Pro’s understudy.

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 10 Pro in China, not to be confused with the Redmi Note 10 Pro already available in other regions.

The Chinese variant packs similar stylings to its counterpart but does include a reworked rear camera array and elongated flash. Beyond this, a punch hole selfie camera remains up front, while Star Sand, Moon Phenomenon, and Illusion Green are the three new colorways on offer.

Under the skin, the Redmi Note 10 Pro now packs a MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC with a liquid cooling system, UFS storage, and a 5,000mAh battery. The latter powers a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz LCD with a 240Hz touch sampling rate. It’s also slathered in Gorilla Glass Victus.

This should give the Chinese variant a little more power over its Snapdragon 732G-powered sibling and more protection with its Victus lens, but it does sacrifice the AMOLED display.

A 64MP primary camera headlines a triple-lens array at the rear alongside an 8MP ultra-wide shooter and a macro lens. The main camera is shared with the Indian variant, but it’s a downgrade from the global Redmi Note 10 Pro’s 108MP sensor.

JBL-tuned stereo speakers also feature Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support. Buyers also get an IR blaster, NFC, Wi-Fi 6 support, Bluetooth 5.2, and 67W charging speeds. That’s double the 33W on offer by the global variant.

The Redmi Note 10 5G also made its debut as the Pro’s understudy. It packs a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, a 48MP primary camera, a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging, and a 6.5-inch 90Hz FHD+ display. It’s available in four colorways, namely Nebula Gray, Clear Mountain Blue, Bamboo Stone Green, and Moon Shadow Silver.
