MIUI 13 rollout: Here's the allegedly supported device list (Updated)
- Xiaomi has confirmed plans for its MIUI 13 rollout.
- A list of 18 devices will be included in the initial rollout, commencing in Q1 2022.
Update, January 27, 2022 (1:08 AM ET): Xiaomi has now confirmed its MIUI 13 global rollout plans. The first phase of the update includes 18 devices. Follow this link to see the full list.
Original article, November 29, 2021 (12:06 PM ET): Android 12 officially landed in October. As of now, there are quite a few companies with active betas of the software and only a few that have rolled out stable versions. Unfortunately, Xiaomi wasn’t on either of those lists for quite a while.
Now, though, a rumor suggests MIUI 13 based on Android 12 could roll out quite soon (via GSM Arena). What’s more, an examination of the source code for the Xiaomi 12X also gives us hints on which devices might see it first.
Unfortunately, it appears at least two devices might not get MIUI 13 based on Android 12, at least at first. Instead, these two phones would see Android 11 but skinned over with the newest version of MIUI. Of course, that would mean some features wouldn’t make it over since they would need Android 12 support.
Hopefully, this delay for Android 12 would only be temporary for the devices in question.
The full list of allegedly supported devices is below. There’s no set date for when the rollouts could begin, but we suspect it would be before the end of 2021.
