The next Android wide-screen foldable has leaked yet again in real-world images
Aug 27, 2026 — 3:41 AM ET
- The upcoming Xiaomi 18 Fold has leaked yet again in real-world images.
- It could come with a triple-rear-camera setup and a dark red color.
- It will feature Xiaomi’s XRing O3 chipset.
As we head deeper into 2026, companies are doubling down on wide-screen foldable phones. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 has been incredibly popular in its home market, Apple is gearing up to launch the first foldable iPhone with a wide form factor, and Xiaomi’s take on wide foldables — the Xiaomi 18 Fold — has been leaked a couple of times this month.
Now, the Xiaomi 18 Fold has leaked once again in a Weibo post. This time, we’re getting a peek at the phone in real-world images and in a brand-new color, no less. The last time we saw real-world images of the Xiaomi 18 Fold, its camera module was covered up. But these new images of the purported device also show off its camera island.
If that rear looks familiar to you, it’s because Xiaomi’s design is very similar to the HUAWEI Pura X Max wide fold that upstaged both Samsung and Apple as the first wide-folding phone to hit the market. The images also show a top-down perspective of the phone, albeit with its back covered with a color-matched case.
The Xiaomi 18 Fold will be the first phone to feature Xiaomi’s in-house XRing O3 processor. We don’t yet know the phone’s specifications, but the images we’re seeing today suggest it could feature a triple-camera setup on the rear. The Xiaomi 18 Fold will launch sometime in September, but the company hasn’t mentioned a specific date. We’ll hopefully learn more about the phone as we get closer to its launch next month, and we will keep you updated on any notable information.
