Did Samsung just accidentally leak the official Galaxy S20 release date?

Rumors of an early March release date may have been accurate all along.

Just yesterday, Samsung announced pre-registrations for its new lot of Galaxy phones. While Samsung didn’t specify a date for when pre-orders will open, it may have revealed the Galaxy S20 series final release date by mistake.

According to Samsung’s pre-registration page, the delivery date for those who reserve the new Galaxy smartphones will be March 6.

Samsung was showing this estimated date up until earlier today, but the website has now removed the same. Instead, Samsung has replaced the date with the phrase “expedited delivery while supplies last.” Luckily, we were able to grab a screenshot of the webpage before it was updated. You can see it below:

It seems plausible that the date was removed because Samsung didn’t want to reveal the March 6 release date ahead of its Unpacked event on February 11.

Most rumors have predicted an early March release for the Galaxy S20 series, so this could also be the general street date for the Galaxy S20 family.

Meanwhile, Samsung is also giving out a limited time $35 instant credit towards eligible devices and accessories to those who pre-register for the new phones.

Additionally, the company says it has “great trade-in values” planned. This means if you have an older Samsung phone, most likely a flagship, you might get a good deal by trading it in for one of the new Galaxy phones.

Samsung hasn’t confirmed any devices for its annual Unpacked event, but we may see the Galaxy Z Flip and a new pair of Galaxy Buds alongside the expected Galaxy S20 reveal.
