Update, January 28, 2020 (02:00 AM ET): Serial tipster Max Weinbach has revealed the possible US price for the Galaxy S20 Ultra. The tipster claims that the phone could cost $1,300. He also believes that all three phones in the S20 series could go on sale in the US on March 6.

Original article, January 22, 2020 (02:28 AM ET): We’ve seen a ton of Samsung Galaxy S20 leaks in the past few months, ranging from horsepower and design to camera details and pricing.

The latest nugget of Galaxy S20 series information centers on a release date, as sources tell Frandroid (via SamMobile) that the flagships will launch in France on March 13.

This is only the apparent release date for one country though, so it’s possible that other markets will have a different date. But it’s worth noting that Samsung released the Galaxy S10 series globally in roughly 70 countries on March 8 2019, including all of Europe. So the French release date could well be the release date for the first wave of nations, including the US, Korea, and the rest of Europe.

If the March 13 date applies to other first wave nations as well, then that means we’ll need to wait roughly a month from the February 11 reveal date to actually buy a Galaxy S20 device. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S10 series was unveiled on February 20, and went on sale on March 8 — a gap of just over two weeks.

When you do eventually get your hands on a Galaxy S20 series phone, you can expect a Snapdragon 865 or Exynos 990 processor, center-mounted punch-hole displays with a 120Hz refresh rate, big battery upgrades, and 8K recording capabilities.
