Samsung Galaxy S11 tipped to launch with a 120Hz high refresh rate display
A couple of days ago, Twitter leaker Ice Universe (@universeIce) claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S11 wouldn’t be getting a waterfall display. Today, the tipster tweeted screenshots of Samsung’s latest One UI beta update that insinuate the Galaxy S11 could receive a 120Hz display.
Ice Universe took the screenshots on a Galaxy Note 9, and they reveal what appears to be a toggle allowing users to switch between 60Hz and 120Hz screen modes. The update also seems to come with another option that will let the device choose between the two refresh rates similar to the Pixel 4‘s smooth display functionality.

The Galaxy S11 isn’t the only device rumored to launch with a 120Hz display, either. It also looks like Xiaomi wants to join the ultra-high refresh rate party soon alongside the likes of the ASUS ROG Phone 2 and the Razer Phone 2.
So far, this is all unofficial. If it turns out to be true, customers could soon have a lot more high refresh rate devices to choose from.
