When we ask our readers to vote on something, it’s usually a pretty tight race, with so many opinions and preferences at play. Not so when we asked you to vote for your favorite Chromebook release of the first half of the year. This is one of the most decisive victories we’ve seen, even though we did have a split in preferences between the site audience and our YouTube community…
So what was your pick for the best Chromebook of early 2019?
Reader’s Choice: What’s the best Chromebook of early 2019?
Out of over 5,000 total votes, the Asus Chromebook Flip C434 came out on top by a wide margin, securing almost two-thirds of the overall vote. Interestingly, the website audience voted our overall second-place winner, the HP Chromebook 15, in first place with 39% of the site-based vote. But there were just too many votes cast for the Chromebook Flip over on YouTube to keep HP at the top overall.
The Asus Chromebook Flip C434 is Android Authority's Reader's Choice: Summer Edition award winner for best Chromebook so far in 2019.
We fully understand liking the Chromebook Flip C434 this much. In our review, Eric called it a “worthy successor” that “surpasses the original in nearly every capacity.” Eric ultimately thought the Flip C434 was “an attractive, sturdy workhorse that should appeal to budget-minded Chrome OS fans.” High praise indeed.
As with all Reader’s Choice awards, we wanted to hear your thoughts, so here are a few of the more colorful comments:
- All of them would do for this house but voted Asus C434 since I’m getting one delivered today
- Still rocking my Pixelbook. Still haven’t found a reason to upgrade from that. Most of the choices above are a sideways step at best
- Dell Chromebook
- I trust Asus the most so I chose that
- What’s a Chromebook?
And that’s a wrap, thanks to everyone that voted! You can vote for your favorite wireless headphones so far in 2019 right now and see what Android Authority’s readers voted as their favorite smartphone.
