Winner announced: Wow, what a landslide! With over 5,000 votes cast, the writing on the wall was very clear: your favorite Chromebook so far was the ASUS Chromebook Flip C434. The Flip absolutely dominated the vote overall (especially with our YouTube community, where it garnered two-thirds of the vote), although the HP Chromebook 15 was the favorite with our site readers and came in second overall.

Chromebooks just keep getting better and we love them for it. We all have our favorite brand and particular model, but every Chromebook carries with it that wonderful awareness that we can get 99% of our work done in the cloud on a machine that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. But who cares what we think!

We want to know what your favorite Chromebook of the last six months has been. We’ve pulled together a shortlist of the most popular Chromebooks on the site (please accept our apologies if your personal favorite didn’t make the shortlist — hit the comments and let us know about it anyway).

We’re just about to hit the busy period of the second half of the year, but there have already been some standout releases, and we want to find the crowd favorite. So vote, debate, and let us know your pick for the best Chromebook of early 2019.

Reader’s Choice: What’s the best Chromebook of early 2019?

Out of over 5,000 total votes, the ASUS Chromebook Flip C434 came out on top by a wide margin, securing almost two-thirds of the overall vote. Interestingly, the website audience voted our overall second-place winner, the HP Chromebook 15, in first place with 39% of the site-based vote. But there were just too many votes cast for the Chromebook Flip over on YouTube to keep HP at the top overall.
