PokeMatch is the ungodly offspring of Tinder and Pokemon Go

Just as Incense can be used to attract rare Pokemon in the wild, so too can PokeMatch be used to attract a potential soul mate.

It’s one of those creations that most would have never anticipated but which, in retrospect, was inevitable. Yes, someone has created a Pokemon-themed version of Tinder called PokeMatch, allowing you to attract a romantic partner even as you continue hoarding Pidgeys. What a time to be alive.

While it’s still difficult to locate wild Pokemon near you thanks to Pokemon Go’s currently buggy/broken tracking system, now at least it’s possible to locate available singles in your area. The app is pretty straightforward. Just like in other dating apps like Bumble or Tinder, you’re able to swipe right for “catches” that you’re interested in or swipe left to “run away.”

What really sets PokeMatch apart, however, is its ability to let you filter out potential matches based on the truly important questions. Sure, you can choose to see matches based on which gender you’re interested in just like every other dating app, but Pokematch also lets you choose which team(s) you want to match with. That way you won’t have to wait until halfway through your first date to learn that your companion is reprobate Team Valor scum.
