TL;DR
  • A full retail package of the OnePlus Nord SE just leaked.
  • OnePlus abandoned the launch of this phone, seemingly at the very last minute.
  • The leaks suggest the package would have contained the phone itself as well as a tote bag and protective case.

The OnePlus Nord has become one of the company’s most well-received phones of the past few years. Its low price and bevy of higher-end features have made it quite successful in the limited areas in which it is available.

Previously, we heard that a special edition of the phone was on the way, to be known as the OnePlus Nord SE. However, the company then canceled the launch of the new product for undisclosed reasons.

That cancelation must have happened at the very last minute because a seemingly brand new site called Recalled just posted a slew of photos of what appears to be the final retail package for the phone, which includes the device itself. You can see the leaked images below.

OnePlus Nord SE abandoned packaging

According to Recalled, the phone in the box would have been the 12GB/256GB model in the tricky-to-find Ash Gray colorway. There does not appear to be anything special or different about the phone itself in this package.

Alongside the phone, you would have seen a tote bag and a protective case for the Nord SE. The box and all the accessories appear to be a collaboration between OnePlus and artist Joshua Vides. OnePlus’ sister/parent/cousin company OPPO previously collaborated with Vides for a special edition of the OPPO Reno 5 Pro Plus.

It’s a shame this product won’t see the light of day, as this looks really cool. However, a OnePlus Nord 2 is likely only a few months away, so it makes sense for OnePlus to abandon this release.
