The OnePlus Nord SE is reportedly canceled
- OnePlus has reportedly canned the so-called Nord SE.
- The phone was supposed to be an upgrade to the original Nord.
After OnePlus announced the Nord N10 and N100, Android Central and tipster Max Jambor reported that another phone called the Nord SE is in the works. The special edition Nord was expected to get 65W charging, an OLED display, and a 4,500mAh battery. However, it looks like the device could be canceled.
Max Jambor has published a follow-up report saying the Nord SE was made in cooperation with the artist Joshua Vides and was supposed to be released in late 2020 or early 2021. However, several of his sources now confirm that the phone won’t see the light of day.
There’s no apparent reason for the Nord SE’s cancellation, and OnePlus could use the moniker for a future phone. The only certain thing, Jambor claims, is that the planned Special Edition of the original Nord will not happen.
Meanwhile, an alleged successor to the OnePlus Nord N10 is said to be in the works. We saw renders of the device allegedly codenamed “Ebba” a few weeks back, but there’s still no word on its core specs or availability.
