Update: OnePlus has officially taken the wraps off the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. Check out all of our coverage below:

The OnePlus 8 series is almost here. We’re just a few hours away from the launch of the new flagships and this year, the top-of-the-line OnePlus phone, the OnePlus 8 Pro, is expected to reach the $1,000 price mark as the company moves towards more premium offerings.

We’re expecting OnePlus to launch the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro at today’s launch event. We’re also expecting to see the new OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z earphones equipped with Warp Charge tech for the first time.

Rumors have also been circulating about a mid-range OnePlus phone, supposedly called the OnePlus Z. However, seeing the trajectory of the leaks so far, and the fact that OnePlus has not confirmed the name of this new phone, we don’t expect to see it at the launch event today. Then again, OnePlus could always pull off a surprise act and end up announcing the phone.

Besides the new smartphones and earbuds, OnePlus will also launch its new wireless charging dock at the event.

What to expect from the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro?

OnePlus has already announced a number of specs and features of the OnePlus 8 series. The duo will feature the latest Snapdragon 865 chipset, LPDDR5 RAM standard, high refresh rate displays, in-display fingerprint sensors, and UFS 3.0 storage.

Further, OnePlus has confirmed that the two phones will be 5G enabled and at least one of them will officially support the company’s new Warp Charge 30 wireless charging technology. IP68 water and dust resistance is also on the cards this time around.

Will the OnePlus 8 series finally live up to the 'Never Settle' mantra?
