TL;DR
  • Nothing has announced that its first product is called the Ear 1.
  • It confirmed that the true wireless earbuds will launch in June.

Nothing, the new company formed by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, is set to launch audio products later this year. The firm teased a wireless earbud concept earlier this year and it’s now confirmed that its first product is called Ear 1 and is coming next month.

The Ear 1, as the name implies, are earbuds. Nothing also posted a teaser image which shows we’re definitely looking at true wireless buds, which isn’t a surprise given the concept product. You can check that image out at the top of the page.

“Today we celebrate and look forward together to the coming launch of Ear 1 this June,” read an excerpt of the company’s latest blog post. This fits right in with the summer launch window previously disclosed by the company, but we still don’t have a specific launch date just yet.

It also sounds like Nothing is already looking at a follow-up, as it hinted at an obvious name for a successor to the Ear 1.

“Can you guess what the sequel will be called? Good. Us too,” the company noted.

Company representatives confirmed to Android Authority after publication that the June launch window would be a global launch (including the EU, India, and the US).
