(Update: 6GB RAM version spotted) TENAA listing confirms OnePlus 3 specs and design
Update, May 31: An update to the TENAA listing (via NowhereElse.fr) of the OnePlus 3 (OnePlus A3000) confirms the existence of a version of the phone that features 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space. Other specs appear to have remained unchanged. Official confirmation of all the specs is just a few days away.
Original post, May 26: If you had lingering doubts about the veracity of the OnePlus 3 leaks, you can put them to rest now.
The OnePlus 3 just visited China’s TENAA database and it’s exactly what we expected.
First off, the certification images match to a T the render shared by Evan Blass earlier this month. That’s despite a theory that the render was just a decoy that OnePlus threw out there to ensure the surprise when the real thing launches.
We’re seeing the same metallic unibody with HTCOne-style antenna bands, the same camera and flash, and the same rounded fingerprint sensor up front. It looks like the silent mode switch is returning and the side shot also tells us that the rear camera will protrude quite a bit.
The TENAA entry comes with a full set of specs, but there are no surprises here. The details that leaked earlier this week are all confirmed:
- Snapdragon 820
- 4GB RAM
- 64GB storage
- 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED
- 3000 mAh battery
- 16MP rear camera
- 152.6 x 74.7 x 7.3 mm
- 160 grams
- Light gray, black or gold
With virtually nothing left to the imagination, OnePlus is betting on virtual reality to spice up the launch of the OnePlus 3. Reportedly slated for June 14, the OnePlus 3 launch event will take place in the virtual environs of a space station dubbed Loop. Moreover, the first place where you’ll be able to buy a OnePlus 3 will be in virtual reality. OnePlus 3 has distributed 30,000 free Loop VR headsets, but you’ll be able to use any VR system to watch the launch.
If the OnePlus 3 doesn’t pique your interest, now it’s a good time to buy one of OnePlus’ other devices – they are now even cheaper.
