Download the MIUI 12 Super Earth and Mars live wallpapers on any device

A planetary experience in your pocket.

The gorgeous live Super Wallpapers found in Xiaomi’s MIUI 12 UI can be used on other devices. Android owners can get them on their phones or tablets without much hassle.

We have access to these thanks to the recognized XDA Developers contributor linuxct. Because these are not regular images, you will need to install a third-party app. XDA Developers is a trustworthy site, though, so the APK files should be safe and reliable to run on most devices. With that said, only Android devices running version 8.1 or newer can download and install the live wallpapers. Unfortunately, older models that can’t run at least Android Oreo will be left out of the fun.

Additionally, this won’t work on devices that only support 64-bit apps. Sadly, this includes new phones like the Pixel 7 and Pixel 8 series.

To get the wallpapers, users must download and install APK files on their devices using the link below. Make sure you learn how to sideload apps on Android first. Once you have those steps down, click on the download button below to get the APK files.

How to set live wallpapers on Android

Once you install the APKs, the Super Earth and Super Mars wallpapers should appear in the stock wallpaper area of the Settings. If the MIUI 12 Super Wallpapers fail to show up there after downloading and installing the correct APK files, users may need to download the Google Wallpapers app from the Play Store. Sometimes, the live wallpapers don’t show up without a restart, so try rebooting the phone if you see nothing new.

How to set live wallpapers:

  1. Download and install the APK files above.
  2. Launch the Settings app.
  3. Select Wallpaper & style.
  4. Pick More wallpapers.
  5. Open up the Live Wallpapers option.
  6. Select either the Earth or Mars Super Wallpaper.
  7. Check out the preview and tap on the Set Wallpaper when done.

Note: We have assembled these steps using a Pixel 4a 5G running Android 14. Remember that some steps may be slightly different, depending on your device and its running software. We had to use an older phone because this doesn’t work on our newer Pixels.

This is because the Pixel 7 series only supports 64-bit apps, not 32-bit ones. The same applies to the Pixel 8 series, and likely other newer devices.
