Lenovo Smart Clock just got two of the Google Nest Hub's best features
Today, Google announced an Assistant update for the Lenovo Smart Clock. With the update, Lenovo’s smart display will work as a smart digital photo frame as it sits next to your bed and support Continued Conversation.
When not in use, the Smart Clock will display pictures from your Google Photos account or featured pictures from Google. Assistant-powered smart displays like the Google Nest Hub, the upcoming Nest Hub Max, and Lenovo’s own smart displays already let you turn them into digital photo frames. It’s taken a little while, but it’s good to see the popular feature make it to the diminutive Smart Clock’s smaller screen.

The Assistant update for the Smart Clock adds support for Continued Conversation. Announced for smart displays in March, Continued Conversation lets you voice a query without having to repeat Google’s hot phrases each time. The feature works by keeping Assistant active for a few seconds after an initial command. Continued Conversation will only be available in English for the time being.
The update is rolling out this week to Smart Clock owners, so keep an eye on your Google Home app for the two new features. The Lenovo Smart Clock is currently available in the U.S., U.K., Canada, and various other regions, with more to come in the future. In a press release detailed the latest update, Google noted that Smart Clock will come India “soon.”
