Choosing either one of the following plans will save you a lot of money when you are in your dorm room streaming shows like The Handmaid’s Tale or movies like Palm Springs. Here are the currently available Hulu student discounts.

1. Basic Hulu student discount lowers subscriptions to just $1.99 a month

Yep, you can get Hulu for less than the price of a Starbucks coffee under this student discount plan. To qualify, you have to be a student that is currently attending a Title IV accredited US college or university.

If that’s you, you can sign up on Hulu’s website. You will be asked to verify that you are an active student enrolled at a qualified higher degree school via the SheerID system. Once you do that, you can get the 65% Hulu student discount. It is available for both new and existing Hulu subscribers, and you can keep the discount as long as you are a student.

This deal is just for the Hulu subscription tier with ads. It will not work if you want to upgrade to the ad-free tier. It also won’t work if you are signed up for the Disney Plus-Hulu-ESPN Plus bundle.

2. Get a discount with Spotify Premium for Students plan

The second way college students can save money will cost a bit more than the normal Hulu student discount plan. However, you get not one but three streaming services for the price of a normal Hulu (with ads) plan. The popular streaming music service Spotify offers a 50 percent reduced rate, compared to its normal $9.99 a month price, for eligible college and university students.

Spotify Premium for Students costs just $4.99 a month, and it lasts for up to four years. Once you are signed up, you can add the Hulu with ads subscription, plus a subscription to the Showtime premium cable TV network. Both of those will be free. Best of all, the service starts with a one month free trial. The Spotify Hulu student plan is basically a great bundle of music, movies, and TV shows for a very low price.

Honorable mention: Disney Plus-Hulu-ESPN Plus bundle

While this deal is available for everyone in the US, students might want to take a look at the Disney Plus-Hulu-ESPN Plus bundle. It costs $13.99 a month. However, since Disney Plus is currently priced at $7.99 per month and Hulu and ESPN Plus cost $6.99 each, you can get this bundle and basically enjoy either Hulu or ESPN Plus for free. It’s also worth mentioning that Disney Plus doesn’t have a student discount; that makes the bundle look even more appealing.
