How to remove an eSIM from your iPhone
Let’s be clear upfront — unlike a conventional SIM card, you can’t literally remove an eSIM, since it’s embedded into your iPhone. What you can do is delete a phone number from an eSIM, or transfer it to a new phone. If you just want to delete a number, follow the steps below.
To remove a number from an iPhone's eSIM, go to Settings > Cellular/Mobile Data, select the number to delete, then tap Delete eSIM.
How to delete an eSIM from your iPhone
In most cases, the only reasons to delete a number from an eSIM are because you’ve already transferred it to another phone, or you’re planning to sell or otherwise give away your iPhone. Don’t delete anything on your eSIM for troubleshooting purposes unless your carrier tells you it’s necessary.
To delete a number from an eSIM:
- Open the Settings app, and tap Cellular or Mobile Data (the name may vary based on your region).
- Choose the number/plan you want to delete.
- Tap Delete eSIM.
